ABF Fabrication’s Interceptor began as a wrecked 2015 Polaris RZR XP 4 1000 with only 54 miles on its odometer. Rebuilt with a police-inspired wrap, synchronized emergency lighting and a 100-watt siren, this four-seat RZR became a distinctive local police department and parade vehicle when it was featured in 2016.

From Damaged RZR to Interceptor
The donor RZR needed a front frame swap, passenger-side body panels and replacement suspension before the custom work could begin. ABF then fitted its F16a-4 cage, doors, short bumpers, radius rods and radiator relocation kit. The project illustrates how extensively the original RZR XP 4 1000 platform could be rebuilt and personalized during the mid-2010s. For the model’s broader context, see our RZR XP 4 1000 model overview and history of the Polaris RZR.
The visual theme went beyond the wrap. Wolf Designs created the police graphics, while red and blue emergency lights, white strobes used as rock lights, a siren and Rigid Industries LED light bars completed the Interceptor look. According to the original build description, synchronizing the lighting required more than 50 hours of wiring. At the time of the 2016 feature, ABF said the machine was used by its local police department and in parades; that describes its use then, not a current service assignment.
