TMW Venom Radius Cage for 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000

Polaris RZR XP 1000 Roll Cage

When the original 2014 Polaris RZR XP 1000 arrived with 107 horsepower and as much as 18 inches of suspension travel, the aftermarket moved quickly to develop parts for the new platform. TMW Off-Road was among the first companies to introduce a replacement cage designed specifically for Polaris’ new flagship sport UTV.

Released in August 2013, the TMW Venom Radius Cage replaced the tall factory structure with a lower, swept-back design. Its curved roofline complemented the XP 1000’s bodywork while giving builders a more customized foundation for roofs, lighting, whips and other accessories.

Four-Inch Lower Roofline

TMW designed the Venom cage to sit approximately four inches lower than the original RZR XP 1000 cage. Despite the reduced height, the company said the interior would accommodate occupants as tall as 6 feet 5 inches.

A hand-formed aluminum hard top was included as part of the package, creating a finished roof that followed the radius of the cage. Optional intrusion bars could also be added across the front opening.

Integrated Wiring and Accessory Mounts

The Venom retained the factory-style ends at the bottom of the front pillars. This allowed accessory wiring to be routed through the A-pillars and into the upper cage instead of being exposed along the outside of the tubing.

That was especially useful as XP 1000 owners began adding LED light bars, illuminated whips, radios and other electrical accessories to their machines.

An Early RZR XP 1000 Aftermarket Cage

The Venom Radius Cage illustrates how quickly the aftermarket responded to the original XP 1000. The new RZR became one of the most widely customized sport UTVs of its era, and replacement cages were often among the first major changes owners made to dune, desert and recreational builds.

TMW Off-Road continues to manufacture roll cages, doors, roofs, bumpers and other UTV components. Because this cage was introduced for the original-generation XP 1000, owners should confirm model-year compatibility and current availability directly with TMW Off-Road.

Editor’s note: A replacement cage can change occupant clearance, accessory compatibility and the vehicle’s overall configuration. Installation should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and occupants should always use appropriate restraints and safety equipment.
