UTV of the Month for September 2010
The Can-Am Commander 1000 is the first mainstream UTV to come with trailing arms in the rear instead of a-arms. Can-Am’s “Torsional Trailing arm Independent (TTI)” has been used on their ATVs with great success. Up front, the Commander has double A-arm with dive-control geometry. In stock form, the Commander has 10″ of wheel travel in the front and rear.
Now let Todd’s Custom Billet get their hands on it and see what happens…
TCB has developed a chromolly +4″ over Long Travel kit. The TCB Commander long travel suspension extends the wheelbase by 3 ¼” for an even smoother ride with over 14″ of wheel travel. The TCB kit uses your stock Can-Am hardware for easy installation. This Commander 1000 uses stock length Stage 4 Elka shocks and TCB 300m axles.
