Ryan Villopoto’s custom 2012 Kawasaki Teryx4 combined long-travel suspension, King shocks, beadlock wheels and unique Team Green styling in a four-seat build worthy of a championship-winning season.
Ryan Villopoto’s Championship Kawasaki Teryx4
This incredible Kawasaki Teryx4 was built for Monster Energy Kawasaki rider Ryan Villopoto following one of the most accomplished seasons in motorcycle racing history.
Team Green Kawasaki presented Villopoto with the custom Teryx4 after he captured the 2011 AMA/FIM Supercross Championship, AMA Motocross Championship, Motocross of Nations Championship and inaugural Monster Energy Cup.
Both the Supercross and Motocross championship battles came down to their final rounds, with Villopoto emerging on top. He then represented Team USA at the Motocross of Nations in France, helping the team secure another championship.
Villopoto capped the season by sweeping all three motos at the inaugural Monster Energy Cup. That perfect performance earned him the event’s $1 million prize.

Villopoto received the keys to his new Teryx4 at Kawasaki headquarters in Irvine, California, before the beginning of the 2012 racing season.
The custom four-seater soon appeared at the 2012 Supercross season opener in Anaheim, where Villopoto started the year just as he had finished 2011—with a victory. Following his impressive win, the Teryx4 was brought onto the track for a parade lap with Team Green’s Reid Nordin and several Monster Energy representatives aboard.
A Purpose-Built Four-Seat Teryx
The Teryx4 was an all-new model for Kawasaki in 2012. It was much more than an existing Teryx 750 with two additional seats attached to the chassis.
Kawasaki redesigned the machine from front to rear around a dedicated four-seat platform. The Teryx4 received an all-new chassis and a thoroughly revised V-twin engine designed to handle the added weight of four occupants while delivering responsive recreational performance.
Its compact overall dimensions, stadium-style rear seating and trail-focused chassis helped establish the Teryx4 as a distinctive alternative within the growing four-seat recreational UTV market.
Villopoto’s machine took that factory foundation much further. Long Travel Industries equipped it with a custom long-travel suspension system controlled by King shocks with piggyback reservoirs. ITP BajaCross tires, OMF beadlock wheels and a reinforced LTI cage completed the core chassis upgrades.
The special lime-green bodywork and One Industries graphics tied the build directly to Villopoto’s Team Green Kawasaki racing program.

Built for a Champion
Villopoto’s primary competition machine may have been his Kawasaki KX450F, but this custom Teryx4 gave him another way to enjoy Kawasaki performance away from the Supercross and motocross tracks.
The combination of a dedicated four-seat chassis, LTI long-travel suspension and unmistakable Team Green styling made this one of the most memorable celebrity UTV builds of its era—and a fitting reward for Villopoto’s historic championship season.
