2012 Sand Sports Super Show

For more than a dozen years the Sand Sports Super Show has been the BIGGEST and most exciting dune and dirt sports EXPO in the world. Come each September, hundreds of exhibitors and thousands of attendees come together at the OC Fair & Event Center in Costa Mesa, California to celebrate and marvel at the latest gear for Sand Sports enthusiasts.

This year, it was entirely evident that UTVs have taken over in the dunes! The show was packed with all kinds of booths catering to UTV enthusiasts. Everything from stock units for sale, to highly customized UTVs were there. The Sand Sports Super Show is THE place to be if you are into sport UTVs.

UTVGuide.net had a booth in the Span with our 2011 Kawasaki Teryx project. We also brought our Sand Collection which brought a lot of people into the booth. Then over in the Fullerton Sand Sports Booth, we had our new 2013 Polaris RZR XP LE. And last, but not least, we had our 2012 Kawasaki Teryx4 in the SSV Works booth.

Favorites from the 13th Annual Sand Sports Super Show

Can-Am Maverick and Maverick MAX Unveiling

Can-Am unveiled their new Maverick 1000R, Maverick 1000R X-RS and Maverick MAX 1000R on Friday night at the show. This new long-travel ,101 HP sport UTV is perfect for the dunes and BRP was smart to come to the Sand Sports Super Show to unveil it to the public.

New 30x10R14 Tires

Finally there are a few ATV/UTV tire manufacturers stepping up to deliver large tires as an alternative to light truck (LT) tires.

Polaris and the American Sand Association

Polaris has stepped up in a big way to help support the American Sand Association! The 2012-2013 raffle cars are a RZR XP 4 and a RZR S. The XP 4 was built by Ride Now. Tickets are on sale now!

FOX 2.5 Podium X Shocks

2.5 inch Podium X aluminum body shock – The all-new 2.5″ Large Bore, Position-Sensitive shock with Bottom-Out Control gives you Less Fade, a Plusher Ride and allows you to Take Bigger Hits. The large diameter bore allows for greater damping force capability while allowing the shock to run at lower overall temperatures resulting in less fade.

Awesome Wildcats

D&P Performance and Muzzys both had sweet looking Arctic Cat Wildcat builds on display. Both feature Muzzy big-bore power and exhaust.

New Sand Tires

Fullerton Sand Sports has the new STU Razor Blaster front tires to match up with STU Blaster rears. These new tires are incredible in the dunes and look awesome mounted up on HiPer beadlock wheels.
