STI Tire & Wheel expanded its Roctane XD lineup in November 2015 with a 34-inch UTV tire designed for larger machines and demanding off-road terrain. At the time of its introduction, the 34x10R-15 was the largest Roctane XD available and featured the deepest tread in the family.
The new size built upon the original STI Roctane XD lineup introduced in 2012, which initially included 11 sizes ranging from 25 to 32 inches.

Built for Larger UTVs
The Roctane XD uses a heavier-denier nylon cord intended to improve puncture resistance and durability without making the tire excessively rigid. Its radial construction and wide footprint were designed to provide predictable handling, stability and a relatively comfortable ride.
A non-directional tread pattern allows the tire to deliver traction across rocks, hardpack and mixed trail conditions. The design also gives owners more flexibility when rotating tires to promote even wear.
RocWall Sidewall and Rim Protection
STI’s RocWall construction reinforces the lower sidewall, an area commonly exposed to rocks and other trail hazards. Extra-wide tread belts extend protection toward the tire’s shoulders while helping stabilize its footprint.
Deep RocGuard rim guards surround the wheel lip to help protect the wheel from direct contact with rocks. This was an especially useful feature as heavier UTVs, larger wheels and more technical rock-crawling terrain became increasingly common.
A Major Tire Size in 2015
Although 34- and 35-inch UTV tires are much more common today, a 34-inch radial was a substantial upgrade when STI introduced this Roctane XD size in 2015. It gave heavily modified UTVs another large-diameter option for increasing ground clearance and improving performance over ledges and large obstacles.
Owners considering a tire this large should verify wheel width, suspension clearance, steering clearance and drivetrain requirements before installation. Clutching or gearing changes may also be necessary because of the tire’s added diameter and rotating mass.
