Rintamaki Re-elected as Chair, Franklin Named Vice Chair, Brenan Takes Over as Secretary/Treasurer

IRVINE, Calif., April 08, 2013 – Recent elections saw new officers selected for the Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association Board of Directors. Former Secretary/Treasurer and Government Relations Manager at Yamaha Motor Corp. Brad Franklin was elected vice chair, while Kawasaki Motors Corp. Senior Advisor of Government Relations and Public Affairs Russ Brenan takes over the role of Secretary/Treasurer. Both join returning ROHVA Chair Jan Rintamaki, director of government relations for Polaris Industries, and ROHVA President Tim Buche.

“It’s a privilege to once again serve as chair of ROHVA,” said Rintamaki. “I have a tremendous amount of respect for my fellow board members and I look forward to working with them again in support of ROHVA’s mission to promote the safe and responsible use of ROVs. I also want to congratulate Brad and Russ on their new positions on the board. Both have demonstrated their respective commitment to and enthusiasm for our industry, and I believe they will be vital in helping accomplish ROHVA’s many goals.”

Added new ROHVA Vice Chair Franklin: “I am honored to have been chosen by my industry peers to serve as vice chair of ROHVA. This continues to be a very exciting time for the industry overall, as well as for ROHVA specifically. Although we face many challenges, I believe ROHVA’s ongoing work in providing valuable educational opportunities, standards development, government relations and support are all key components to our current and future success.”

The remainder of the ROHVA board remains unchanged from the previous year, and includes directors Isabelle Bouchard (BRP), Gary Higgins (Honda), Ron Solberg (Arctic Cat) and Siva Sundaresan (John Deere). ROHVA was incorporated in 2007 to foster and promote the safe and responsible use of recreational off-highway vehicles in North America.

The Recreational Off-Highway Vehicle Association is a national industry organization that promotes the safe and responsible use of ROVs. ROHVA is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop equipment, configuration and performance standards.
