PRP Can-Am Maverick X3 Storage Bags: Door, Overhead and Dash Options

Can-Am Maverick X3

When the Can-Am Maverick X3 debuted for 2017, its cockpit offered little enclosed space for the small items riders bring along. PRP Seats introduced three bags designed around the X3’s stock doors, roll cage and dash: a padded door bag, an overhead storage bag and a dash bag. These were practical ways to add storage without using the rear cargo area.

PRP’s door bag adds a storage pocket and padding beside the rider’s knee.

PRP’s Maverick X3 front door bags combine a zippered pocket with a thick knee pad. The bags attach to the stock door frame with hook-and-loop straps, leaving access to the door-opening strap. The padding is particularly useful when rough terrain pushes a rider’s knee against the door. PRP currently lists the black front door bags as a pair; check its fitment information if your X3 has aftermarket doors.

Overhead storage for the stock X3 cage

The overhead bag uses the center space in the factory X3 cage.

The PRP overhead bag for the Maverick X3 fits between the upper bars of the stock roll cage. Its two compartments give the driver and passenger a place for items such as goggles, gloves and cleaning rags while keeping them within reach. The original bag also featured a clear front pocket for a map or other item you wanted to see quickly. PRP specifies a stock cage for its current X3 and X3 MAX overhead bag, so owners with an aftermarket cage should confirm fit before ordering.

Dash bag with access to the 12-volt outlet

PRP’s dash bag secures small items near the X3’s center 12-volt outlet.

The open area in the center of the X3 dash is convenient until a phone or other small item bounces out. PRP’s Maverick X3 dash bag attaches with adhesive-backed hook-and-loop strips and has an opening for a cord to reach the 12-volt outlet. It gives small items an enclosed spot while preserving access to the outlet.

More Maverick X3 storage choices

These three bags were PRP’s X3 storage options featured in this 2016 announcement. PRP has since expanded its selection, including rear door bags for the X3 MAX and an under-seat bag. For a closer look at that broader range, see our Can-Am Maverick X3 storage bags guide, or check PRP’s current Can-Am products for availability and fitment.
