2013 General Tire Mint 400 Presented by Polaris
Over 250 off-road race teams, and tens of thousands of off-road enthusiasts converged on Las Vegas, NV for The Great American Off-Road Race. Drivers and crews representing 14 different countries, and spanning every continent competed in 21 different classes of vehicles during The 2013 General Tire Mint 400 presented by Polaris. The world famous Mint 400 kicked off Wednesday March 20th with the first ever 4wheel Parts Off-Road Vehicle Parade that featured more than eighty custom built off-road trucks and buggies parading down Las Vegas Boulevard. Festivities continued Thursday afternoon and all day Friday on Fremont Street East, and culminated with the most challenging and brutal off-road race in America on Saturday, March 23rd.
The brutal Mint 400 course featured rocky washes, suffocating silt beds, high-speed graded roads, rock gardens, and the giant rolling jumps. The Casey Folks designed course featured four massive spectating areas where fans can witnesse first-hand the thrilling action of off-road racing.
The 2013 Mint 400 was broken into two races: The Limited Vehicle race which begins at 6am and consisted of two laps and 200 miles of racing, and the Unlimited Vehicle race which was four laps and 400 miles. UTVs were off the line just after 6AM and were part of the Limited race.
