Polaris introduced ten Limited Edition RZR and RANGER side-by-sides for the 2011 model year, giving buyers an unusually broad selection of special colors, wheels, seats and factory-installed equipment.
Although these machines were announced in July 2010, they were all part of the 2011 Polaris lineup. The collection included four utility-oriented RANGER models, three 50-inch RZR 800 models, two wider RZR S 800 editions and a four-seat RZR 4 Robby Gordon Edition.
Most of the packages were cosmetic, but several added meaningful equipment such as electronic power steering, a winch, gun scabbards or model-specific tires. Together, they illustrate how aggressively Polaris was expanding and differentiating its side-by-side lineup during the early growth of the sport UTV market.

2011 Polaris RANGER XP 800 Limited Editions
The full-size RANGER XP 800 formed the utility side of the Limited Edition collection. These packages combined the established 760cc twin-cylinder RANGER platform with more upscale colors, seats and wheels. For more background on the platform’s development, see our history of the Polaris RANGER.
RANGER XP 800 Crimson Red
The Crimson Red edition featured a painted hood, dash and glove box with matching side-panel graphics. Turbo Silver suspension springs, Sandstone accent graphics and red-and-Sandstone stitched seats completed the package.

RANGER XP 800 Northwoods Green
The Northwoods Green edition used painted green bodywork, color-matched graphics and coordinated deluxe seating. Like the Crimson Red model, it rode on black Crusher wheels with PXT tires.

RANGER XP 800 EPS Sandstone Metallic
The Sandstone Metallic package added electronic power steering, making it more than a cosmetic edition. EPS reduced steering effort at low speeds and helped isolate the steering wheel from impacts encountered on rough trails.

RANGER XP 800 Browning Edition
Developed for hunters and outdoor users, the Browning Edition was the most specialized RANGER XP 800 in the group. Its factory-installed winch and dual gun scabbards provided functional upgrades in addition to its Pursuit camouflage finish.

The six-passenger RANGER CREW received its own upscale Super Graphite package. In addition to unique trim, the Limited Edition included electronic power steering—a useful feature on the long-wheelbase utility vehicle.

2011 Polaris RZR 800 Limited Editions
The original 50-inch Polaris RZR 800 remained an important part of the lineup for riders using width-restricted trails. The 2011 model also received a 55-horsepower High Output engine, increased cooling airflow, improved clutch and belt cooling, revised occupant protection and a longer estimated riding range.
RZR 800 EPS Orange Madness
The Orange Madness model combined one of Polaris’ most recognizable colors with electronic power steering. Its white suspension springs and three-color seats made it easy to distinguish from the standard RZR 800.

2011 Polaris RZR S 800 Limited Editions
The RZR S 800 expanded the original RZR formula to approximately 60 inches wide. Its wider stance, FOX Podium shocks, 12 inches of suspension travel and Maxxis Bighorn tires made it better suited to dunes, desert terrain and faster open trails.

2011 Polaris RZR 4 800 Robby Gordon Edition
The four-seat RZR 4 800 returned for 2011 as a Robby Gordon Edition with Gloss Black and carbon-fiber-inspired trim. The RZR 4 was historically important because it brought four individual seats to a factory-built sport side-by-side at a time when many families still relied on aftermarket seat conversions.

Why the 2011 Limited Editions Matter
These models arrived during a pivotal period for Polaris. The original RZR platform had quickly expanded from a narrow two-seat trail machine into the wider RZR S and four-seat RZR 4, while the RANGER family offered increasingly specialized utility and crew configurations.
The number of Limited Editions also reflects the growing importance of factory personalization. Painted body panels, color-coordinated suspension springs, stitched seats and premium wheels gave buyers some of the appearance of a customized UTV without requiring an immediate aftermarket build.
Electronic power steering was still noteworthy enough to distinguish selected editions rather than being expected equipment across most of the lineup. The Orange Madness RZR and Sandstone RANGER packages therefore offered functional value beyond their exclusive colors.
