PRP Seats updated its popular GT/S.E. suspension seat for 2014, giving the off-road seat revised upholstery details and more opportunities for owners to customize its appearance.
Updated GT/S.E. Suspension Seat Styling
The GT was already one of PRP’s best-selling suspension seats when the company introduced the GT/S.E. update. The 2014 design added accent sections that coordinated with the seat piping, along with colored stitching designed to match the larger accent panels.
PRP also revised the stitching across the seat body and added a second location for custom embroidery below the headrest. These changes gave UTV owners more flexibility to coordinate the seats with a vehicle’s bodywork, graphics, cage or other interior components.
What Is a Suspension Seat?
Unlike a conventional molded seat, an off-road suspension seat uses a flexible liner supported within the seat frame. The construction helps absorb some of the sharp impacts transferred through a UTV chassis while providing additional lateral support for the driver and passenger.
The GT/S.E. combined that suspension-style construction with pronounced side bolsters intended to keep occupants supported during aggressive trail riding, desert driving and dune use.
The GT/S.E. Remains in the PRP Lineup
The GT/S.E. was not merely a short-lived 2014 model. PRP continues to offer the seat for numerous modern UTV platforms. The current version uses a vinyl-coated nylon suspension liner, dual-density foam, medium-height side containment and a mesh bottom that allows water, mud and sand to drain from the seat.
Current applications and mounting requirements vary by vehicle, so owners should confirm fitment before ordering. Additional mounts or adapters may be required for some machines.
