Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency
Information:
Jefferson County Emergency Management Agency owns these two Kubota RTV900s. One is outfitted with a EMS rescue skid and the other with fire and rescue skid combo. Birmingham Fire Department and Westwood Rescue split ownership of the vehicles, but they are used together at many special events during the year.
The Kubota’s are used during the Aaron’s 499 is a NASCAR Sprint Cup stock car race held at Talladega Superspeedway in Talladega, Alabama and at other special events at the raceway.
Other than special events, the Kubota’s are also used for lost person searches, small brush fires and water rescues.
