Assault Industries Nighthawk LED Side Mirrors with Baja Designs Lighting

Assault Industries Nighthawk Side Mirrors

The Assault Industries Nighthawk LED side mirrors bring together B2 Bomber mirrors and Baja Designs Squadron lighting in one assembly. Introduced in 2020, the design puts forward-facing auxiliary lights beside the UTV’s cage while keeping the mirrors adjustable for rearward visibility.

Mirrors and cornering lights in one package

Assault Industries developed the Nighthawk with Baja Designs around integrated Squadron LEDs and Wide Cornering lenses. The original announcement claimed more than 6,000 lumens for the pair. The light housings aim independently of the mirror glass, so adjusting the rear view does not change where the lights point. Forward-facing cooling fins and a serviceable assembly were also part of the original design.

The complete mirror kit was described as a bolt-on installation without trimming, drilling or cutting. As with any auxiliary light, check your vehicle’s mounting points, wiring needs and local rules before installing or using it on public roads.

B2 Bomber retrofit kit followed in 2021

Owners who already had B2 Bomber billet side mirrors got another option in 2021: Nighthawk LED light-box retrofit kits. The replacement light boxes integrate the Baja Designs lights into the existing B2 Bomber mirror setup. Assault Industries said installation required only a few screws and no trimming or drilling. The retrofit kit does not include the B2 Bomber mirrors.

The 2020 launch price for the complete set was $899.99; the 2021 retrofit announcement listed $499.99 for the light boxes. Those are historical launch prices, so check Assault Industries for current availability, fitment and pricing.

We have used the Assault Industries/Baja Designs Nighthawk mirrors on a Kawasaki KRX 1000 build and a Can-Am Commander XT-P at Sand Hollow. For another Assault Industries mirror option without the Baja Designs cornering lights, see our Phantom billet convex mirror coverage.

Editor’s note: This article covers the original Nighthawk mirror and its B2 Bomber retrofit kit. The later NightHawk G2 is a separate product.
