Corona, California (October 20, 2010) – With three rounds of championship racing still remaining in this year’s short course off road racing season, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing series has released its complete 2011 schedule. Closely mirroring this season’s schedule, teams and fans can now look forward to another thrilling season at the familiar venues that brought record crowds with the excitement of short course off road racing.
The fifteen round battle for the 2011 season championship begins March 12th at Firebird International Raceway in Chandler, Arizona just outside of Phoenix and returns to that location in December for the season finale. Firebird will once again play host to the Lucas Oil Challenge Cup on December 11th. Other series stops include events at Speedworld Off Road Park in Surprise, Arizona, Glen Helen Raceway in San Bernardino, California and Miller Motorsports Park in Tooele, Utah.
In the midst of final preparations for the final two event weekends of 2010, Series Director, Tony Vanillo spoke on next season’s schedule. “We have had the opportunity to establish some fantastic partnerships while building these unique, purpose built tracks. While we are making our 2011 plans now, it’s a great feeling to know that we are preparing to return to these tracks for the second and third year. This stability is fantastic for the sport.”
As the 2010 season enters the final two weekends of competition, the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series will visit Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Rounds 13 and 14 on November 6th and 7th. The short course season comes to a close with Championship Weekend; December 11th and 12th as both the season titles in all classes and the Rockstar Energy/Lucas Oil Challenge Cup will be decided.
