Upfit UTV entered the market in March 2024 with a straightforward idea: deliver a finished, customized side-by-side through a dealer rather than asking the owner to coordinate a long list of separate upgrades. Its launch vehicles paired premium interiors and distinctive styling with equipment intended for specific types of riding. The Baja Limited, built on the Polaris RZR Pro R, was the early showcase.

What Made the Baja Limited Different?
The original announcement highlighted a fresh-air system, suspension tuning, frameless doors and a custom cabin. Those details made the Baja Limited more than an appearance package: the goal was a turnkey RZR Pro R for long desert rides and prerunning, with the accessories integrated into the finished vehicle. Upfit’s current Baja Limited overview describes its reinforced chassis, advanced suspension, lighting, custom dash and interior. Equipment varies by build, so buyers should confirm the specification of the vehicle they are considering.

From One Launch to a Broader Lineup
Upfit now offers packages aimed at different uses. The DSR is a RZR Pro R-based dune build with sand-focused tires, suspension, lighting, audio and storage. The XCAPE applies the company’s approach to the Polaris XPEDITION for enclosed-cab adventure travel. The Ranch Edition XD 1500 uses the Polaris RANGER XD 1500 platform for work and recreation. Upfit also lists lighter-equipped LTE versions of some packages and other specialty builds in its model lineup.

Built and Sold as Complete Vehicles
Upfit says its packages are assembled at its 120,000-square-foot Phoenix facility. Buyers can explore configurations through the vehicle builder, check available vehicles and locate a dealer. Pricing, equipment and availability depend on the particular vehicle and package; check the build sheet and dealer details before comparing one Upfit with another.
Upfit UTV Ownership Today
Upfit was part of Fox Factory when this story first appeared in 2024. In March 2026, Justin Smith and Sean Geiser reacquired Upfit UTV, Shock Therapy and Geiser Performance. The original launch remains an important part of the company’s history, while the current lineup gives buyers a more useful picture of what Upfit builds today.
