When SSV Works introduced the MRB3 Bluetooth media controller in 2016, it offered UTV owners a compact alternative to a conventional marine head unit. The weatherproof dash controller connects to a separate hideaway unit, leaving less than an inch of mounting depth behind the controller face.
SSV Works MRB3 Bluetooth Media Controller

The original MRB3 combined Bluetooth streaming, AM/FM radio and an optional auxiliary input. Its built-in amplifier was rated at up to 200 watts maximum output, while six preset EQ settings let riders adjust the sound. A 4-volt RCA pre-output provided a connection for an additional amplifier or powered subwoofer.
The controller used a backlit display and rubber-coated buttons for volume, track selection and playback controls. SSV Works also offered an optional kit with a 3.5 mm auxiliary input and USB charging.

Installing the MRB3 in a UTV
The compact controller could be mounted in a dash without making room for a full-size stereo receiver. SSV Works also developed vehicle-specific mounting solutions. Its Can-Am Maverick X3 audio system, for example, included a dash panel designed for the MRB3. The controller was also part of the company’s Equalizer Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo build.

What Changed With the MRB3S?
SSV Works later introduced the MRB3S. According to the company, both the MRB3 and MRB3S provide Bluetooth and AM/FM sources, plus bass, treble, balance and fade controls. The MRB3S adds subwoofer level control, three line outputs and an LCD display dimmer. Confirm the model, wiring connections and dash-mount fit before replacing an existing MRB3.
Visit the SSV Works MRB3S product page for current specifications and availability. The $229.95 price reported when the original MRB3 launched in 2016 should be treated as a historical launch price.
