The 2019 Rally on the Rocks in Moab, Utah brought UTV enthusiasts together for guided trail rides, steep slickrock climbs and spectacular canyon scenery. Based at the Old Spanish Trail Arena, the event gave riders a chance to explore Moab with fellow side-by-side owners.
Our coverage ranged from cruising Hell’s Revenge in a Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S to watching a Honda Talon climb Hell’s Gate. Meanwhile, a ride with Reid Nordin from Walker Evans Racing took us through Poison Spider and Golden Spike to Where Eagles Dare. This recap brings those videos together with the original Tucker Films event highlights.

2019 Rally on the Rocks Highlights from Tucker Films
Team Tucker headed west for two days of riding in Moab. Their film captures the scale of the sandstone terrain and the appeal of exploring it in a UTV. Start with the event highlights below, then scroll down for individual trails and obstacles.

Hell’s Revenge in Our Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S
Hell’s Revenge combines sandstone fins, steep climbs and descents with views across Moab’s canyon country. Even between the named obstacles, the trail delivers plenty of memorable driving.
This video follows our Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S from the trailhead toward the overlook. For more photos, obstacle descriptions and planning information, visit our Hell’s Revenge UTV trail guide.
Honda Talon 1000R Climbs Hell’s Gate
Hell’s Gate is one of the best-known optional obstacles on Hell’s Revenge. Its steep sandstone chute puts tire placement and vehicle control on display. This clip from our 2019 coverage shows a Honda Talon 1000R making the climb.
Mickey’s Hot Tub Action
Another memorable moment came at Mickey’s Hot Tub. The steep sandstone bowl can turn a short climb into a serious challenge, particularly when water and muddy residue affect traction. Our Instagram video captures @hartsutv making an attempt during the rally.

Poison Spider and the Launch Pad on Golden Spike
Our ride to Where Eagles Dare started at Poison Spider. From there, we worked through ledges and slickrock before joining Golden Spike. The approach added plenty of trail action before we reached the Where Eagles Dare loop.
First, watch our RZR on Poison Spider. Then, check out the Launch Pad on Golden Spike, where the broad sandstone face makes for a memorable climb.

Where Eagles Dare with Reid Nordin
During the rally, we teamed up with Reid Nordin from Walker Evans Racing to explore Where Eagles Dare. This side loop off Golden Spike combines steep sandstone domes with expansive views toward Corona Arch and the surrounding canyons.
The climbs and descents stood out even after riding Hell’s Revenge. On this trip, we returned through Poison Spider after completing the loop. Read the full Where Eagles Dare trail report for more photos and route details.

Our 2019 Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S Adventure Build
Our four-seat Turbo S was set up for more than rock crawling. Its long wheelbase, 35-inch ITP Coyote tires and lower transmission gearing worked well in Moab while keeping the machine useful for desert and dune adventures.
For the complete setup, see our 2019 Polaris RZR XP 4 Turbo S adventure build. We also covered the gearing changes in our RZR XP Turbo S lower transmission gearing test. In addition, our SSV Works RZR XP4 Turbo S build spotlight features another machine we spent time with at the 2019 rally.
