Commercial Capability With Electric Power
Polaris developed the Pro XD Kinetic using electric powertrain technology associated with the company’s partnership with Zero Motorcycles. The same partnership helped produce the recreational and agricultural-focused Polaris RANGER XP Kinetic, but the Pro XD version is configured around commercial duty cycles and fleet requirements.
The electric motor develops 140 lb-ft of torque without waiting for an engine to build rpm or a CVT to engage. That immediate response can be especially useful when moving a loaded vehicle, towing a trailer or positioning equipment at low speed. Electric power also eliminates exhaust at the vehicle, opening the door to operation in enclosed, noise-sensitive or emissions-restricted environments where a gas or diesel UTV may not be appropriate.
Despite its smaller 14.9-kWh battery, the Pro XD Kinetic retains serious working capacities. Its 2,500-pound towing rating and 1,250-pound cargo-box capacity allow it to tackle many of the same jobs as a full-size gas or diesel Pro XD.
Up to 45 Miles of Estimated Range
Polaris estimates that the 14.9-kWh battery can provide up to 45 miles of range. For many controlled jobsites, that may be more useful than the number initially suggests. Commercial UTVs frequently spend their days making short trips between buildings, equipment yards and work areas rather than traveling continuously at higher speeds.
Actual range will depend heavily on the application. Towing, carrying a full bed, climbing grades, operating in deep or soft terrain and working in extreme temperatures can all increase energy consumption. Fleet managers should evaluate the machine against the distance and workload of a normal shift instead of relying only on its maximum estimated range.

120- and 240-Volt Charging
The Pro XD Kinetic ships with a combined Level 1 and Level 2 mobile charging cable. It can therefore be plugged into a common 120-volt outlet or a 240-volt outlet without requiring a dedicated commercial charging station.

The ability to use 120-volt power makes overnight charging possible without installing new infrastructure. A 240-volt connection is the more practical option for fleets that need faster turnaround between shifts. Polaris also notes that the UTV may be charged from a properly sized generator at remote jobsites where utility power is unavailable.
Reduced Maintenance and Operating Costs
An electric drivetrain eliminates several routine maintenance items associated with an internal-combustion UTV. The Pro XD Kinetic does not require engine-oil changes, spark plugs, engine air filters or CVT clutch maintenance. Polaris specifies a 1,000-mile maintenance interval and backs the lithium-ion battery with a five-year warranty.
Polaris estimated that scheduled maintenance costs could be approximately 60 percent lower than those of a comparable gas-powered Pro XD. The company also projected approximately $2,800 in fuel savings over five years compared with a 2024 gas Pro XD. Actual savings will vary with electricity rates, fuel prices, annual usage, maintenance practices and operating conditions.
For fleet buyers, the potential advantage is not limited to the price of fuel or replacement parts. Fewer scheduled services can reduce downtime and make maintenance planning easier across a large group of vehicles.
Jobsite Safety Features
The Pro XD Kinetic incorporates several features intended for commercial fleet operation. It is delivered with its top speed limited to 25 mph, a common requirement on industrial jobsites. The setting can be reduced to as little as 5 mph or adjusted up to 40 mph when appropriate for the operating environment.

Built for Commercial Duty
Polaris Commercial carried the Pro XD family’s durability-focused components into the Kinetic model. Heavy-duty CV boots, bearings and bushings are paired with Kevlar-backed vinyl seats intended to resist punctures and tears.
The Pro XD Kinetic also uses 8-ply, non-directional jobsite tires. Their interchangeable design can simplify fleet inventory, while the square tread profile is intended to promote more even wear. A rust- and dent-resistant poly cargo box provides the full 1,250-pound box capacity.
The vehicle’s information center displays operating data such as battery state of charge, energy use, battery temperature and motor temperature. This gives the operator information needed to manage range and watch vehicle conditions throughout a shift.
Who Is the Pro XD Kinetic For?
The Polaris Pro XD Kinetic makes the most sense when its daily workload is predictable and the vehicle returns to a location with electrical power at the end of a shift. Construction sites, factories, campuses, parks, warehouses, rental fleets and municipal facilities are particularly well suited to that operating pattern.
Its quieter operation is also valuable around livestock, residential areas and indoor or partially enclosed facilities. With no exhaust at the vehicle, it can work in locations where ventilation, noise or emissions rules limit the use of conventional UTVs.
Operations that regularly travel beyond the estimated 45-mile range, work far from electrical power or cannot accommodate charging downtime will need to evaluate the duty cycle more carefully. In those applications, a gas or diesel Pro XD may still offer greater flexibility.
