51st SCORE Baja 500 UTV Race Results

Scanlon Motorsports Group

ENSENADA, Baja California, Mexico – When the final checkered flag fell, a total of 245 vehicles left the start line early Saturday morning with racers from 26 U.S. States and 12 countries. When the course closed at 6:05 a.m. on Sunday, there were 144 official finishers for a very high 58.78 finishing percentage, especially considering the difficulty of the race course. The results were made official following complete data tracking review of the devices on each vehicle in the event late Sunday morning.

Defeating 24 starters in his class and 37 total UTVs to win the overall UTV title in the 51st Baja 500 was former Polaris key executive Craig Scanlon, Yorba Linda, Calif., with a winning time of 13:26.41 in his No. 2931 Polaris RZR XP4 Turbo. It was his first SCORE race win as a driver of record.

To say we are excited would be an understatement. It took some time to finally put #Luda not only on the box, but to do it with a win at the #Baja500 makes all the trail, error, struggles and commitment well worth it. @craig.scanlon and @kredstrom were amazing behind the wheel and navigating, the prep was on point, the team pits were smooth and efficient and the homework during our week of pre-running paid off. None of this happens without a solid group of teammates who volunteer their time away from their families to come and support this dream. It also would not be possible without our sponsors who have stood by us from the beginning, never wavering and always remaining committed. Now we celebrate as Official Baja 500 race winners. Props to all of the competitors including @mbmotorsportsoffroad and @murray1917 as they put up a huge fight to the finish. Thank you to @scoreinternational for a great event and for being diligent in the scoring process and of course to all of the wonderful people of Baja we thank you!! We will let this one sink in and celebrate, but then it’s on to #VegasToReno to see if we can keep this momentum rolling! @rigidindustries @4wheelpartsofficial @polarisrzr @walkerevansracing @tensortire @ruggedradios @jmcollisioncenter @vpracingfuels @prolinewraps @957chuck @highlifter @rockfordfosgate #4WPofficial #4WP #ScanlonMotorsports ????: @highrevphoto
