No Limit – Can-Am Maverick X3 RC
Phil Blurton and Beau Judge are a factory Can-Am race team who blasted onto desert racing scene two years ago. Since then, the have wrapped up two consecutive Best in the Desert Championships and many race podiums in their No Limit / Can-Am Maverick X3.
King of the Hammers is a little different story for Phil and Beau. 2018 was their first time racing, and although they finished in the top ten, they knew they could do much better. Last year, Phil and Beau had very little time to prepare with only a few days to pre-run in Johnson Valley during race week. This year, they are on a mission. This trip was their second to Johnson Valley this year, and they already have 5 solid days of pre-running in the bag. They have not only run the entire course from last year, but have done most trails 2-6 times!

More Desert in 2019?
This year’s King of the Hammers UTV race is supposed to bump up in total mileage to 165 miles. We are guessing that the extra mileage will mostly be filled with more desert miles, and this could benefit this back-to-back Best in the Desert Championship team.
Coming down Back Door is a spot where several competitors rolled or broke last year, and Phil has it down to a science.
2019 King of the Hammers UTV Race
The 13th annual KOH week will commence with Hammertown opening to the public on Friday, February 1st, 2019 and will continue through Saturday, February 9th, 2019. UTVs will tech and qualify on Saturday, February 2 and the UTV race will be on Sunday, February 3, 2019.
