This aerial perspective of a UTV climbing “The Chute” on Double Sammy at Sand Hollow, UT makes the obstacle look steeper than it truly is, but this isn’t AI. Just a well placed drone filming from above!More info on this riding area: https://utvguide.net/ride-spot-sand-hollow-utah/This video contains music from Shutterstock, licensed by Splice video editing app.

Just a few miles west of Moab along scenic Potash Road (Highway 279), the Poison Spider Mesa Trail begins with an immediate taste of what makes Moab world-famous. After leaving the trailhead near the Dinosaur Tracks area, the route quickly climbs away from the Colorado River through a series of steep sandstone ledges, slickrock shelves, and rocky switchbacks. From the Poison Spider Mesa trailhead, you have access to several of Moab’s most famous and challenging 4x4 routes. The trail network allows you to create anything from a half-day scenic ride to an all-day “Trifecta” adventure.Poison Spider MesaThis is the primary trail leaving the trailhead. It climbs steeply onto the mesa via obstacles like The Waterfall and The Wedgie before opening into expansive slickrock terrain with spectacular views of the Colorado River, Arches National Park, and Moab Valley.Golden SpikeAbout halfway through Poison Spider Mesa, a junction leads to Golden Spike, one of Moab’s legendary trails. Golden Spike was specifically created to connect Poison Spider Mesa and Gold Bar Rim and includes famous obstacles such as Golden Crack, Golden Stairs, Double Whammy, and Body Snatcher.Gold Bar RimGold Bar Rim can be reached either directly from Poison Spider via Golden Spike or by connecting trails farther north. This trail follows the rim above Moab Valley and provides some of the most dramatic overlooks in the area. It eventually exits near Highway 191 and Gemini Bridges Road. Many off-roaders refer to the combination of:1. Poison Spider
2. Golden Spike
3. Gold Bar Rim

Designed for riders who want to push the Defender harder in rough terrain, the kit delivers a wider stance, increased capability, and a more aggressive appearance without compromising reliability or everyday usability. For owners looking to maximize the performance of the HCR Mid-Travel setup, Suspension Direct Inc. (SDi) recently introduced its Terrain Master 2.1 shocks specifically for the new Defender HD11 platform. The shocks are designed as a direct bolt-on upgrade and feature billet aluminum construction, piggyback reservoirs, large-bore compression adjusters, hardened chrome-coated shafts, and fully rebuildable internals. SDi says the Terrain Master 2.1 shocks improve small bump compliance, bottoming resistance, and overall ride stability in rough terrain. For those that want the best, SDi E-CLIK shocks are also available as seen in this video.More details: https://utvguide.net/can-am-defender-hd11-mid-travel-suspension-hcr-racing/

Taking a Polaris RS1 and stretching it to increase the wheelbase sounds pretty easy until you start thinking about lengthening the wiring harness & driveline and how to make it look like it was made that way instead of something you scabbed together in your buddy’s garage. UTV Pros has the RS1 stretch down to a science - not only the fabrication skills but also all the little stuff that creates a finished product that is ready for you to turn the key and go hit the rocks. If you are looking for an extremely capable rock crawler for Sand Hollow, this is it. UTV Pros is located right next to Sand Hollow in Hurricane, Utah. For more information, hit up UTV Pros at: https://theutvpros.com

One of the biggest innovations on the new 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition is its factory-integrated Active Sway Bar Link system, developed as part of the new DYNAMIX DVS suspension package in collaboration with Suspension Direct Inc. Unlike traditional sway bars that are either fixed or manually disconnected, the Ultra Edition uses electronically controlled hydraulic sway bar links that actively adjust in real time based on terrain and driving conditions. The system can rapidly lock and unlock the sway bars up to 200 times per second, allowing the suspension to deliver maximum articulation in rocks and rough terrain while still maintaining impressive stability and cornering control at higher speeds.
