The 2013 High Lifter ATV Mud Nationals brought five days of mud racing, trail riding, custom machines and live entertainment to Mud Creek Off-Road Park in Jacksonville, Texas. Held March 20–24, the 11th annual event attracted thousands of ATV and UTV enthusiasts along with approximately 100 industry vendors.
Competitors could enter 18 different races and contests offering cash payouts or prizes. The schedule included the Can-Am/BRP Mud Bog, Polaris Mudda Cross, HMF Endurance Challenge, Massimo Obstacle Course, Wet Sounds Mud Jam and Dynojet Bad 2 da Bone show and shine.
The Yamaha eXtreme Outlaw Concert Series also entertained attendees at the Yamaha Oasis. Performers included Blackberry Smoke, Frank Foster, Drake White, Jason Cassidy, the Cody Riley Band and Alex Troegel.
Polaris Fundraiser for the Caleb Moore Family
Polaris hosted a donation drive during the event to benefit the family of freestyle athlete Caleb Moore. Anyone donating at least $5 was entered to win a customized Polaris RZR XP 900.
Moore had previously displayed his freestyle talent at multiple High Lifter Mud Nationals events. During the awards ceremony, his brother Colten Moore drew the winning ticket, which belonged to Austin Hopkins.

Dynojet Bad 2 da Bone Results
The Bad 2 da Bone show-and-shine competition gave ATV and UTV owners an opportunity to display their customized machines. Winners were determined by public ballot.

Wet Sounds Mud Jam Results
The Wet Sounds Mud Jam recognized two winners. The “Loudest” award was determined by a decibel reading, while spectators selected the “Outrageous” winner by public ballot.

Massimo Obstacle Course Results
The Massimo Obstacle Course was open to both ATVs and UTVs. Competitors raced against the clock while navigating logs, tires, crushed cars, dirt hills and water pits.

S3 Power Sports Poker Run Results
The S3 Power Sports Poker Run was open to all event attendees at no additional charge. Participants visited five stations around the park to have their poker cards punched, with prizes awarded for the highest and lowest hands.

HMF Endurance Challenge Results
The HMF Endurance Challenge sent two-person teams through one of the deepest and longest mud holes at the park. Each team had to travel to the marked turnaround point and return to the starting line. Both competitors and their ATV or UTV had to cross the finish line for the run to count.

High Lifter Products began in 1996 and became one of the best-known companies serving ATV and UTV mud riders. Based in Shreveport, Louisiana, the company develops lift kits, suspension components, portals, tires, wheels and other accessories for mud-focused off-road machines.
The High Lifter Mud Nationals grew into one of the country’s largest gatherings dedicated to ATV and UTV mud riding. The 2013 event captured a period when machines such as the Polaris RZR XP 900, Can-Am Maverick and Can-Am Commander were becoming increasingly prominent in organized mud competition.
