SDi Terrain Master 2.1 Shocks for the CFMOTO UFORCE U10

Suspension Direct Inc. has expanded its Terrain Master 2.1 shock lineup with a new package developed for the 2025-and-newer CFMOTO UFORCE U10 platform. The complete replacement shock package gives U10 owners adjustable damping, vehicle-specific spring setups and fully rebuildable components designed to deliver more control than the factory suspension.

The SDi Terrain Master 2.1 shocks for the CFMOTO UFORCE U10 are priced at $2,549.99 and are currently listed for preorder.

Moving Beyond the Factory UFORCE U10 Shocks

The CFMOTO UFORCE U10 combines an 88-horsepower three-cylinder engine with a quiet cabin, electronic push-button shifting and serious utility capability. Its factory suspension provides 11 inches of front wheel travel and 10.4 inches at the rear, using spring-preload-adjustable, oil-damped shocks.

That stock setup is intended to balance ride comfort, cargo capacity, passenger weight and affordability across a broad range of uses. It does not, however, provide external compression-damping adjustment or the heat-management advantages of piggyback reservoirs.

The Terrain Master 2.1 package is designed for U10 owners who want better control over how their suspension responds to rocks, washboard roads, square-edge bumps, faster trail riding and changing vehicle loads. Rather than modifying the factory shocks, the SDi package replaces them with a complete set of performance-oriented, serviceable dampers.

SDi Terrain Master 2.1 Features

SDi developed the Terrain Master 2.1 as a premium passive shock for utility UTVs. Unlike an electronic active-suspension system, damping changes are made manually through the shock’s external compression adjusters.

The UFORCE U10 Terrain Master 2.1 shocks feature:

  • Billet T6 aluminum high-flow pistons
  • Low-friction piggyback reservoirs
  • Large-bore compression adjusters
  • Race-style quick-adjust preload rings
  • Induction-hardened shafts with hard-chrome coatings
  • High-tensile barrel-formed springs designed to resist bowing
  • PTFE-lined 28mm spherical bearings with sealed spacers
  • Anodized aluminum internal components
  • Fully rebuildable three-piece seal heads
  • SDi Zero Fade Fluid

SDi says its high-flow piston design creates low opening force, allowing the shocks to react more readily to smaller trail irregularities. The external reservoirs increase available oil volume and help manage heat during extended use, while the oversized compression adjusters allow owners to change damping for different terrain, loads and driving styles.

Spring Setups for UFORCE U10 and U10 XL Models

The CFMOTO U10 family includes standard-wheelbase models with a single three-person bench and extended-wheelbase U10 XL models with two rows and seating for six. That distinction is especially important when selecting springs because the longer XL chassis, second seating row and potential passenger load place different demands on the suspension.

SDi describes its available performance spring configurations as two-seat and four-seat setups. For the UFORCE platform, these choices correspond more clearly to standard-wheelbase and extended-wheelbase applications rather than the machines’ actual three- and six-passenger capacities.

SDi says the shocks are shipped with its four-seat spring setting, with preload instructions provided for two-seat vehicles. Buyers should therefore confirm the correct spring configuration and preload settings for their exact UFORCE U10 model when ordering.

This distinction applies across the expanding U10 family, including the U10 Pro, U10 XL Pro and enclosed Highland models. Our CFMOTO UFORCE U10 versus U10 Pro comparison explains the differences between the base and Pro equipment packages, while the broader CFMOTO UFORCE lineup guide covers the available configurations.

Custom Spring and Suspension Setup

Utility UTVs rarely operate at one consistent weight. A UFORCE U10 may be driven with an empty cargo box one day and loaded with passengers, tools, hunting equipment or camping gear the next. Accessories such as bumpers, winches, full roofs, spare tires and rooftop tents can also substantially change its sprung weight and balance.

SDi’s ordering process allows buyers to provide information about:

  • Driver and passenger weight
  • Front and rear bumpers
  • Winch installation
  • Typical cargo-box load
  • Roof racks and rooftop tents
  • Spare-tire location
  • Driving speed and style
  • Primary riding terrain
  • Standard- or mid-travel suspension

Providing this information allows SDi to select springs and establish a baseline setup that more closely matches the vehicle as it is actually used. That can be particularly valuable on Highland models carrying a full cab and HVAC equipment or heavily accessorized U10 builds.

Standard-Travel and Custom Mid-Travel Options

Terrain Master 2.1 shocks are primarily designed as a replacement package for standard-travel UTV suspension. Owners can retain the factory UFORCE U10 suspension width and mounting layout while gaining adjustable compression damping, improved heat capacity and rebuildable components.

SDi also provides a custom-order option for specialized and mid-travel applications. That is relevant as aftermarket suspension support for the U10 platform continues to grow. The SuperATV UFORCE U10 long-travel kit, for example, widens the machine to approximately 72 inches and can be configured with shocks developed for its revised geometry.

A custom shock order should be matched specifically to the suspension kit rather than assuming a standard-travel shock package will work correctly with altered leverage ratios or wheel travel.

A Growing Aftermarket for the UFORCE U10

The introduction of a dedicated Terrain Master package is another sign that the UFORCE U10 is gaining attention from the UTV aftermarket. Owners now have access to increasingly sophisticated suspension, steering and driveline upgrades that were once concentrated primarily around Polaris and Can-Am platforms.

We have already seen how far the U10 platform can be taken in the Mega SxS UFORCE U10 Highland build, which combines suspension and driveline upgrades with 35-inch tires. The new SDi package also gives owners who want to retain the factory suspension width a more focused way to improve ride quality and chassis control.

The UFORCE U10 application joins SDi’s growing selection of Terrain Master packages for utility UTVs. More information about the construction and design philosophy behind the shocks is available in our SDi Terrain Master 2.1 overview.
