Polaris RZR Factory Racing made its first Mint 400 entry in 2025 with four RZR Pro R Factory race vehicles. Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren, Max Eddy Jr. and Ethan Groom formed the lineup for the team’s debut in the Nevada desert.
Race outcome: Heger won the UTV Pro Open class and finished ahead of every four-wheeled vehicle in the Limited race. MacCachren finished second among UTVs, Polaris-supported Mitch Guthrie took third and Eddy placed fourth. Read our separate 2025 Mint 400 results and race recap for the full race story.
The RZR Factory Racing Mint 400 Lineup
Brock Heger entered after major victories at the 2024 Baja 1000, 2025 Dakar Rally and 2025 King of the Hammers. The Mint 400 gave him a chance to extend that run in the team’s first appearance at the event.
Cayden MacCachren brought another proven desert-racing contender to the four-vehicle effort. He went on to complete a factory one-two behind Heger in the UTV results.
Max Eddy Jr. had navigated with Heger to the 2025 Dakar SSV class victory and entered the Mint 400 as a driver in his own RZR Pro R Factory. He finished fourth among UTVs.
Ethan Groom drove the team’s orange fourth entry. Groom had previously served as a co-driver for Heger and raced his own RZR; the Mint 400 offered another opportunity in the factory vehicle.
Why the Mint 400 Debut Mattered
Founded in 1968 and often called “The Great American Off-Road Race,” the Mint 400 brings UTVs and other classes to rough desert terrain near Las Vegas. Silt, rocks, ruts and high-speed sections tested the purpose-built RZR Pro R Factory race vehicles in a new event for the team.
