For 2015, RZR went back to its roots and redefined the first two RZR products introduced by creating the Polaris RZR 900 and Polaris RZR S 900. The vehicles featured unequalled power, highly-capable suspensions, unmatched agility, and great ergonomics and styling. For 2016, Polaris is introducing the RZR S 1000 EPS which brings premium power to the trail and a value option for wide open spaces.

The 2016 Polaris RZR S 1000 EPS offers the next level of performance in a nimble package. At the heart of the vehicle is a 100 horsepower ProStar 1000 engine for more power and torque to conquer any terrain. Polaris’ ProStar engines have become the pinnacle of performance, efficiency and durability. For more power to the ground, the vehicle features a high performance transmission, also found on the RZR XP 1000, which is specifically geared to optimize the power of the engine. With more than 30 percent more power and 20 percent more torque than the RZR S 900, in addition to an impressive power-to-weight ratio, 8.1 HP to every 100 lbs./45.4 kg of dry weight, the RZR S 1000 EPS offers adrenaline-boosting acceleration for the hardcore off-road enthusiast.

The new RZR S 1000 EPS has an unrivaled suspension featuring a Dual A-Arm Front and Rear Suspension with 12.25 in/31.11 cm front, 13.2 in/33.5 cm rear suspension travel and 12.5 in/31.75 cm of ground clearance. The vehicle features FOX 2.0 Podium X Shocks on all four corners for a plush ride over the rocks and ruts, and less harsh bottoming out for aggressive or casual riding. The eight-ply, 27 in/68.58 cm GBC Dirt Commander Tires with better side bite, stiffer sidewalls, better tracking through corners and increased durability than most tires, are the perfect complement to the suspension and ensure the RZR S 1000 EPS can tackle the toughest of terrain.

For unmatched agility, the RZR S 1000 EPS shares several features also found throughout the RZR line so the vehicle performs at its finest when navigating twisty trails, carving the dunes or traversing rocky terrain. While all RZR vehicles are equipped with True On-Demand All Wheel Drive (AWD), the RZR S 1000 EPS features a High-Performance, True AWD to keep the front wheels pulling stronger and longer maximizing power delivery to the ground in every condition for a more responsive ride. The vehicle is more razor sharp through the corners thanks to the optimized track width which maximizes the track width while maintaining the vehicle’s overall 60 in/152.4 cm width. A narrow turning radius and fast steering response helps navigate switchbacks and curves easier while the standard EPS makes sure the vehicle takes the brunt of what the terrain has to offer.

The 2016 Polaris RZR S 1000 EPS offers the same revolutionary comfort and customization found on the majority of the RZR line. Bolstered seats, adjustable for the driver, provide a secure feel and ample leg room, while the thin-film technology under the seat cover provides a dry ride in wet conditions. Space-optimized foot rests for both the driver and passenger also make for a secure ride, and factory-installed quarter doors offer extra protection from debris, and easy ingress and egress.

Inside the cockpit, the units feature LED floor lighting and a blue back-lighted instrument cluster, readable both in direct sunlight and at night. To take more stuff along, a large center storage area and a big glove box provide ample space for any items needed during the ride while the deeper rear box provides ample space for additional cargo. Sealed floor seams and equipment pass-throughs keep the occupants cleaner; while dual removable floor drains allow for easier clean out of the cabin.

UTV enthusiasts love to accessorize their vehicles and Polaris Engineered Accessories has a full line of accessories available for the new RZR S 1000 EPS. To make installation easier, the vehicle features integrated accessory mounting locations, hidden wire routing areas within the cab frame and more than 90 accessories for more customization that keeps the vehicles’ warranty intact. Additions, such as rock sliders and bumpers, easily attach and fit securely to the vehicle’s frame due to Polaris’ innovative Expanding Anchor technology; a revolutionary piece of hardware that expands as it is inserted into a mounting point. Lock & Ride windshields, rear panels, roofs and doors work seamlessly with each other and install directly onto designated mounting points, making installation simple, and providing superior fit and finish.

The RZR S 1000 EPS will be offered in Matte White Lightning and Black Pearl and will be available in dealerships starting in August 2015.

Along with the introduction of the new RZR S 1000 EPS, the majority of the RZR line will sport comfort enhancements to make the RZR experience even more enjoyable. For an optimized driver position, the RZR 900 EPS, RZR S 900 EPS, RZR 900 EPS XC Edition, RZR 4 900 EPS, RZR XP 1000 EPS, RZR XP 4 1000 EPS and non-EPS vehicles will feature a new seat angle that brings the driver’s elbows closer to the body providing less arm fatigue and a more natural driving position to tackle the toughest terrain and the highest dunes. The RZR XP 1000 also will have adjustable seatbelt sliders providing the occupants with the ability to change the position based on their height or comfort level. The 2016 comfort changes, paired with RZR’s patented design that places the engine behind the seat for a low center of gravity, placement of the occupants towards the middle of the vehicle, and cab features such as bolstered seats and space-optimized foot rests that keep the occupants planted and secure, ensures RZR owners can experience the most enjoyable, adrenaline-pumping riding experience yet.

The RZR XP 1000 EPS will be available in Titanium Matte Metallic and Electric Blue Metallic with the premium High Lifter Edition with mud features such as high-mount air intakes, reduced gearing, high-clearance A-Arms, High Lifter Outlaw II Mud Tires, 4,500 lb/2041 kg Polaris HD winch and High Lifter graphics kit in Titanium Matte Metallic with an Indy Red chassis and cab frame.
