Polaris RZR Factory Racing completed an undefeated 2025 season by winning the overall UTV category at every major race it entered. The factory program claimed victories at the Dakar Rally, King of the Hammers, the Mint 400, Vegas to Reno and all four rounds of the SCORE Desert Championship.
The results made 2025 the most successful season in the history of the Polaris RZR Factory Racing program. Brock Heger led the campaign with victories across rally raid, desert racing and technical rock racing, while Mitch Guthrie Jr. and Cayden MacCachren delivered critical wins during the second half of the year.

Brock Heger Opens the Season with a Dakar Rally Victory
The season began at the 2025 Dakar Rally in Saudi Arabia, where RZR Factory Racing competed alongside Sébastien Loeb Racing. Dakar rookie Brock Heger and navigator Max Eddy Jr. took control of the SSV category and led the 39-vehicle field for 10 consecutive stages.

Heger Sweeps King of the Hammers
Less than a month after Dakar, Heger returned to the United States for King of the Hammers in Johnson Valley, California. He first won the UTV division of the Desert Challenge in wire-to-wire fashion.
Heger then switched from high-speed desert racing to the technical rocks of the UTV Hammers Championship. He was the only driver to finish the race in less than four hours and crossed the line approximately 26 minutes ahead of the next competitor.
The victory made Heger the first driver to combine overall UTV wins at the Baja 1000, Dakar Rally and King of the Hammers. His streak began with the 2024 SCORE Baja 1000 victory and continued with his dominant 2025 UTV Hammers Championship win.
Polaris RZR Sweeps the 2025 Mint 400
RZR Factory Racing made its official Mint 400 debut in March and immediately took control of the race. Heger won the UTV Pro Open class, the overall UTV category and the overall four-wheel race after reaching speeds of approximately 118 mph in the Nevada desert.

An Undefeated SCORE Desert Championship
The factory team entered the 2025 SCORE Desert Championship carrying an active winning streak that began late in 2024. Heger extended that run at the San Felipe 250, securing his sixth consecutive overall UTV victory. Polaris vehicles captured nine of the first 10 positions in the UTV Pro Open class.
Two months later, RZR Factory Racing swept the overall UTV podium at the 2025 SCORE Baja 500. Heger earned the victory, MacCachren finished second, and Ethan Groom and Justin Morgan combined for third. It was the factory program’s third consecutive Baja 500 win.
Heger added another victory at the 2025 SCORE Baja 400, putting Polaris in position to complete an undefeated championship season at the final race of the year.
Mitch Guthrie Jr. Wins Vegas to Reno by Nine Seconds
Polaris checked off another major desert-racing objective in August when Mitch Guthrie Jr. won the 2025 Vegas to Reno. The race subjected drivers and vehicles to hundreds of miles of high-speed Nevada terrain in triple-digit temperatures.
Guthrie won the overall UTV category by only nine seconds after a sprint to the finish. His RZR Pro R Factory also placed second among all four-wheel vehicles, adding a new race to the factory program’s list of overall victories.
MacCachren Completes the Perfect Season at the Baja 1000
The undefeated campaign came down to the 835-mile SCORE Baja 1000. Cayden MacCachren and Ethan Groom shared the No. 1821 RZR Pro R Factory and survived rocks, deep silt, bottlenecks and the punishing San Felipe whoops to claim the overall UTV victory.
Polaris-supported racer Branden Sims finished second, while Max Eddy Jr. placed third to complete another all-RZR podium. Heger finished fifth, earning enough points to secure his third consecutive SCORE Pro UTV Open Championship.
The 2025 Baja 1000 victory by Cayden MacCachren and Ethan Groom gave RZR Factory Racing its third consecutive overall UTV win at the race. It also completed a clean sweep of the 2025 SCORE Desert Championship and secured the top three positions in the season standings for Polaris.
The RZR Pro R Factory Behind the Winning Streak
Every victory relied on a version of the purpose-built RZR Pro R Factory rather than a production recreational UTV with basic racing equipment added. The race vehicle uses the consumer RZR Pro R as its engineering foundation but incorporates a specialized chassis, race-tuned ProStar Fury 2.0-liter engine, long-travel suspension, competition electronics and FIA-compliant safety systems.

A Defining Season for Polaris RZR Factory Racing
Winning one major off-road race requires speed, preparation and reliability. Winning across Dakar rally stages, Johnson Valley rock trails, Nevada desert courses and the full SCORE schedule requires a vehicle and team capable of adapting to very different forms of competition.
Polaris RZR Factory Racing accomplished exactly that in 2025. Its undefeated campaign included overall UTV wins at every major event entered, a perfect SCORE season, three all-RZR SCORE podium sweeps and one of the most successful individual stretches in UTV racing history for Brock Heger.
The season now stands as a central chapter in the broader history of Polaris RZR Factory Racing and a benchmark against which future factory UTV racing programs will be measured.
