Brock Heger won the 2025 SCORE Baja 400 and led a 1–2–3 UTV Overall sweep for Polaris RZR Factory Racing. Cayden MacCachren finished second, while Max Eddy Jr. completed the podium in third aboard the purpose-built RZR Pro R Factory.
The result gave Polaris RZR Factory Racing its third consecutive Baja 400 victory and its second straight SCORE UTV Overall podium sweep. It also extended Heger’s remarkable run through the 2025 desert-racing season.

Justin Morgan added another solid result for the factory program, finishing ninth overall in the Pro UTV field after starting at the back.
Heger and MacCachren Battle for the Baja 400 Lead
Starting positions were based on the results of the 2025 SCORE Baja 500, putting Heger first off the line with MacCachren immediately behind him. Eddy started sixth, while Morgan used a deliberate strategy that placed him at the rear of the field.
Heger established the early pace, but MacCachren remained close through the first half of the race. By race mile 211, MacCachren had moved into both the physical and corrected-time lead.
The two factory teammates continued their fight over the final 200 miles before Heger regained control. He carried the lead to the finish to claim his third consecutive SCORE UTV Overall victory and his fourth win in four SCORE events.
MacCachren finished second, giving Polaris two RZR Pro R Factory vehicles at the front of the UTV field.
Max Eddy Jr. Completes the Polaris Podium Sweep
Max Eddy Jr. steadily moved forward after starting sixth. By race mile 211, the No. 1841 RZR Pro R Factory had advanced to third both physically and on corrected time.
Eddy maintained that position through the remainder of the race and finished in 9 hours, 36 minutes and 42 seconds. His third-place result completed the UTV Overall podium sweep for Polaris.
The performance followed the team’s sweep at the Baja 500 and demonstrated the depth of a factory lineup capable of placing three different vehicles at the front of a SCORE race.
Third Consecutive Baja 400 Victory for RZR Factory Racing
The 2025 victory extended a streak that began when Polaris introduced its dedicated factory race program in 2023. Cayden MacCachren won the Baja 400 in 2023 and again in 2024 before Heger continued the streak in 2025.
The 2024 race was particularly close. Heger initially crossed the finish with the quickest corrected time, but a speed-zone penalty moved MacCachren into the official winning position. The teammates returned in 2025 and again controlled the front of the field, this time with Heger securing the victory.
The three-peat became another major milestone in the development of the Polaris RZR Factory Racing program, which began competing with its OEM-developed race UTV during the 2023 SCORE season.
RZR Pro R Factory Continues Its Winning Run
All three podium finishers drove the Polaris RZR Pro R Factory, a purpose-built desert race vehicle developed around the production RZR Pro R platform.
Unlike a conventional production UTV converted for racing, the Factory vehicle uses a dedicated race chassis, competition suspension, extensive cooling capacity and integrated navigation, communications and safety equipment. Polaris introduced the program to compete directly in major desert and rally-raid events.

Heger credited the engineers, race operations crew, support staff and his teammates for putting the factory drivers in a position to finish 1–2–3 overall.
Baja 400 Win Extends Polaris’ Undefeated 2025 Season
The Baja 400 became another chapter in Polaris RZR Factory Racing’s undefeated 2025 season. The factory program accumulated victories across SCORE, Best in the Desert and King of the Hammers competition while Heger also won the 2025 Dakar Rally during his rookie appearance.
Before the Baja 400, Polaris had swept the UTV Overall podium at the Baja 500 and won the 2025 Vegas to Reno race. The Baja 400 sweep further strengthened Heger’s position as he pursued a second consecutive SCORE Pro UTV Open championship.
Next Stop: The 2025 SCORE Baja 1000
Following the Baja 400, Polaris turned its attention to the SCORE Baja 1000. Heger entered the season finale as the defending race winner after capturing the 2024 Baja 1000 UTV Overall victory and SCORE Pro UTV Open championship.
The 2025 Baja 400 showed that Polaris had more than one vehicle capable of winning. Heger, MacCachren and Eddy occupied every position on the overall podium, giving the RZR Factory Racing team both a dominant result and considerable momentum heading into Baja’s longest race.
