2025 Polaris RANGER Updates

For 2025, Polaris extended a two-year limited warranty across the complete RANGER lineup. The change was accompanied by equipment updates, new special editions and revised colors across the Mid-Size, Full-Size and Extreme Duty families.

New colors included Zenith Blue and Sand Dune with Polaris Pursuit Camo accents on select Mid-Size models. Select Full-Size RANGER models gained Mirage Beige, Orange Rust and Stealth Gray, while Extreme Duty models added Titanium Metallic and Ghost White.

The 2025 RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Premium also received factory-installed powered front windows and a tip-out windshield, adding two features that previously required owners to move farther up the trim ladder or install additional equipment.

RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Trail Boss Returns

The 2025 Polaris RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Trail Boss Edition returned as one of the most heavily equipped models in the RANGER XP 1000 family. It combined an enclosed NorthStar cab with equipment intended for uneven terrain, loaded work and controlled downhill driving.

Trail Boss equipment included:

  • Arched A-arms
  • 14 inches of ground clearance
  • Active Descent Control
  • Self-leveling rear suspension
  • Redesigned front end and larger front bumper
  • Gen 2 transmission with reduced shift effort
  • Revised electric power steering
  • Seven-inch RIDE COMMAND display
  • JBL Trail Pro 2000 audio system
  • RIDE COMMAND+ connected vehicle features

Active Descent Control engages all four wheels to help provide controlled deceleration on steep downhill terrain. The self-leveling rear suspension is designed to maintain ride height when cargo or other weight is added, helping preserve handling and suspension performance under load.

Polaris also said its Gen 2 transmission reduced shifting effort by as much as 50 percent, giving the driver a more consistent feel when moving between Park, Reverse and Drive.

The 2025 RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Trail Boss was offered in three-seat and six-seat configurations with White Crystal bodywork. Original pricing started at $33,999 before destination charges and dealer fees.

New RANGER Accessories

Polaris also introduced several accessories for the 2025 RANGER family. JBL Trail Pro audio kits were engineered specifically for the RANGER cab and electrical system. Updated sprayer equipment included a 4.5-gallon-per-minute pump, precision spray wand, revised mounting system and separate boom and broadcast kits.

A reverse-light harness allowed compatible rear lights to activate when the transmission was placed in Reverse. Integrated bumper accent lights were also available to complement auxiliary LED lighting.

The 2025 Polaris RANGER lineup originally started at $11,499.

New 2025 Polaris GENERAL 4 1000 Sport

The major addition to the 2025 GENERAL lineup was the GENERAL 4 1000 Sport. This gave buyers a lower-priced four-passenger entry point without giving up the cargo bed, towing capability or selectable drivetrain features that define the GENERAL crossover platform.

Standard features included:

  • Four-passenger seating
  • 600-pound-capacity dumping cargo box
  • 1,500-pound towing capacity
  • On-Demand all-wheel drive
  • VersaTrac Turf Mode
  • Aluminum wheels

Turf Mode unlocks the rear differential to reduce ground disturbance and improve maneuverability on lawns and other sensitive surfaces. When additional traction is required, the driver can select two-wheel drive or On-Demand AWD.

The GENERAL 4 1000 Sport was offered in Ghost Gray with an original starting MSRP of $21,999. Readers looking for more real-world background on the platform can also see our Polaris GENERAL 4 review.

2025 GENERAL Colors

Additional GENERAL updates focused on appearance. The GENERAL 1000 Premium was offered in Zenith Blue, while GENERAL XP Premium and Ultimate models received Indy Red and Granite Gray options.

The complete 2025 GENERAL lineup originally started at $17,499.

2025 Polaris RZR Updates

The 2025 RZR lineup combined equipment changes with a significant reorganization of the premium RZR Pro family. The 2025 RZR Pro lineup consisted of the RZR Pro R, RZR Pro S and RZR Pro XP, with Pro S replacing the previous Turbo R name.

Outside the Pro family, the RZR Trail and Trail S received updated colors. Sport trims were offered in Zenith Blue, while Ultimate trims were available in Sand Dune.

The RZR Trail retains a 50-inch width for restricted trail systems, while the 60-inch RZR Trail S provides a wider footprint and additional suspension capability. Both are considerably narrower than the 64-inch RZR XP and the wide-open-terrain RZR Pro models.

2025 Polaris Youth Models

Available youth safety features included:

  • PIN-code start: Allows a parent to set a required starting code.
  • Adjustable speed limiter: Lets a parent restrict speed based on the rider’s ability and experience.
  • Geofencing: Allows compatible models to be limited to a defined riding area.
  • Safety equipment and training: Select vehicles included online training resources and a safety flag.

The RZR 200 EFI was offered in Storm Gray and Indy Red, while the RANGER 150 received Zenith Blue. ATV color changes included Storm Gray for the Phoenix 200 and Velocity Blue with Lifted Lime or Fierce Fuchsia accents for the Outlaw 70 EFI.

The Outlaw 110 EFI was offered in Bright White with either Polaris Blue or Radiant Green accents. Original pricing for the 2025 Polaris youth lineup started at $2,999.

Final Takeaway

The 2025 Polaris lineup was more of a broad refinement than a complete platform overhaul. The most meaningful changes were concentrated in specific trims: the return of the well-equipped RANGER XP 1000 NorthStar Trail Boss, the more accessible GENERAL 4 1000 Sport and additional factory equipment for the RANGER NorthStar and RZR XP.

The expanded two-year RANGER warranty was also an important ownership update, while the numerous color and graphic changes gave buyers more choices across nearly every Polaris off-road family.

Prices listed are original U.S. MSRPs announced for the 2025 model year and exclude destination charges, dealer fees, taxes and accessories. Availability and current pricing may vary.
