The 2025 Polaris RZR Pro R Factory-Armored Limited Edition combines the 225-horsepower Pro R Ultimate platform with Pro Armor protection, beadlock wheels, distinctive Orange Burst and Matte Marmalade paint, and additional lighting. Production was limited to fewer than 500 vehicles worldwide across two- and four-seat configurations.
2025 Polaris RZR Pro R 4 Factory-Armored Limited Edition
Polaris introduced the Factory-Armored Limited Edition in September 2024 as one of the most distinctive versions of the Polaris RZR Pro R. Rather than changing the Pro R’s core performance package, Polaris teamed with Pro Armor to add protection, lighting, wheels and exclusive styling to the flagship wide-open-terrain platform.
The result is a factory-custom Pro R aimed primarily at dune and desert riders who want additional protection without assembling an aftermarket accessory package one component at a time.

Exclusive Pro Armor Protection
The most important additions are the Pro Armor protective components installed at the factory. Front and rear bumpers made from 1.75-inch steel tubing mount directly to the chassis and add protection at both ends of the vehicle. Pro Armor skid plates provide additional coverage beneath the machine.
These upgrades do not turn the Pro R into a dedicated rock crawler, but they make sense on a 74-inch-wide performance UTV intended for high-speed desert terrain, where hidden rocks, brush and unexpected impacts can quickly damage exposed bodywork.
The Factory-Armored package includes Pro Armor protection at the front and rear.
Pro Armor Flow-Formed Beadlock Wheels
Polaris also fitted the limited edition with 15-inch Pro Armor 5307 flow-formed beadlock wheels. Pro Armor rates each wheel for a 1,740-pound load capacity.
Flow forming applies pressure to the wheel’s inner barrel as it spins after casting. The process stretches and compresses the aluminum to improve strength while controlling weight. The functional beadlock rings mechanically secure the tire bead to the wheel, allowing drivers to reduce tire pressure for sand or rough terrain with less risk of unseating a tire.
The wheels are paired with 32-inch Maxxis Rampage Fury eight-ply tires.
Orange Burst and Matte Marmalade Styling
The Factory-Armored Edition is immediately recognizable by its Orange Burst and Matte Marmalade finish. Pro Armor custom painter Mark Lopera worked with Polaris to develop the color combination, which was inspired by desert sunsets and the Southwest off-road scene.
Matching graphics, seats and dash accents give the vehicle a cohesive appearance that looks more like a completed custom build than a standard machine with bolt-on accessories.

32-Inch RIGID Light Bar
A roof-mounted 32-inch RIGID SR-Series LED light bar expands nighttime visibility. Polaris listed the light at 20,064 lumens with a beam reaching as far as 3,077 feet.
The light bar carries an IP68 rating for resistance to dust and water and uses a scratch-resistant polycarbonate lens. It is a useful addition for the type of nighttime dune and desert driving for which the Pro R is commonly used.
225-Horsepower ProStar Fury Engine
Underneath the limited-edition equipment is the familiar RZR Pro R powertrain. Its naturally aspirated 1,997cc ProStar Fury inline-four produces 225 horsepower and sends power through Polaris’ automatic PVT transmission.
Pro Performance True 4WD gives the driver selectable 2WD, 4WD and 4WD Lock settings. This allows the vehicle to be adjusted for changing traction conditions in sand, desert terrain and rough two-track routes.
The Factory-Armored Edition retains the Pro R’s 74-inch stance and 16 inches of ground clearance. Those dimensions reinforce its intended role as a high-speed, wide-open-terrain UTV rather than a machine designed around narrow trails.
DYNAMIX DV Semi-Active Suspension
Polaris equipped the Factory-Armored Edition with DYNAMIX DV semi-active suspension and FOX 3.0 Live Valve X2 internal-bypass shocks. The system electronically controls both compression and rebound damping based on vehicle movement, terrain and driver input.
Selectable Comfort, Rock, Track and Baja modes allow the driver to tailor suspension response to different conditions. The front suspension provides 27 inches of usable travel, while the MaxLink rear suspension delivers 29 inches.
A rear toe link helps maintain alignment as the suspension moves through its travel, improving tracking and control through rough desert terrain and large whoops.
Heated and Ventilated Seats
The 2025 RZR Pro R introduced heated and ventilated front seats on the Ultimate platform. Both features carry over to the Factory-Armored Edition, giving occupants additional comfort during hot desert days and cold early-morning or nighttime rides.
The vehicle also includes a seven-inch RIDE COMMAND display, integrated navigation, DYNAMIX controls, full doors, an aluminum roof and a factory-installed Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio system.
How the Factory-Armored Edition Fits Into the Pro R Lineup
The Factory-Armored model was one of two notable limited-production Pro R editions offered for 2025. It emphasized desert-inspired styling and Pro Armor protection, while the later RZR Pro R Race Replica Limited Edition drew its design and equipment from the Polaris Factory Racing program.
Both special editions were based on the production Pro R rather than the much more specialized RZR Pro R Factory race UTV. That distinction is important: the Factory-Armored Edition remained a recreational vehicle equipped with factory accessories, while the Pro R Factory was engineered specifically for professional desert racing.
The Factory-Armored model also represents another chapter in the evolution documented in our history of the Polaris RZR, as factory special editions increasingly combined production performance with accessory packages and custom styling that previously would have been created entirely through the aftermarket.
The 74-inch-wide Factory-Armored Edition was designed for dunes and wide-open desert terrain.
Limited Production and Availability
Polaris limited worldwide production to fewer than 500 vehicles, divided between the two-seat RZR Pro R and four-seat RZR Pro R 4 configurations. Shipments to dealers began in September 2024, and Polaris displayed the new edition at the 2024 Sand Sports Super Show in Southern California.
With its low production volume, unique Orange Burst and Matte Marmalade finish, and factory-installed Pro Armor equipment, the Factory-Armored Edition should remain one of the more recognizable versions of the first-generation RZR Pro R.
