Polaris RZR Air Conditioning: RedDOT A/C Kit for Pro XP and Pro S

Aftermarket under-dash A/C kit for UTVs

Polaris RZR owners looking to add air conditioning now have a new application to consider. RedDOT Powersports has announced an aftermarket A/C kit engineered for the RZR Pro XP and Pro S. The system combines a belt-driven compressor with an in-cab cooling unit and three directional vents, bringing refrigerated air conditioning to performance UTVs that do not come with factory A/C.

The announcement expands the climate-control line originally introduced under the Offroad Arctic name. RedDOT has not yet confirmed the exact Pro XP and Pro S model years, configurations, pricing or installation requirements for this application. Owners should verify fitment and availability with an authorized dealer before ordering.

Polaris RZR Air Conditioning for the Pro XP and Pro S

RedDOT says its latest A/C application is engineered for the Polaris RZR Pro XP and Pro S. These sport UTVs are different from enclosed utility machines that can be purchased with factory HVAC. Polaris has improved airflow and reduced heat entering the cockpit on recent RZR Pro models, but those changes do not provide refrigerated air conditioning.

That distinction matters to owners who ride in hot climates and use a windshield, rear panel or more enclosed cab setup. Cooling performance in a particular RZR will depend on its cab configuration, installation and operating conditions. RedDOT has not published enough application-specific information for us to quantify that performance in the Pro XP or Pro S.

For more on the vehicles, see our Polaris RZR Pro XP, Pro S and Pro R lineup guide. Our guide to factory-equipped HVAC UTVs covers machines that offer heat and air conditioning from the manufacturer.

How Does the RedDOT RZR A/C System Work?

The installation photos show two principal parts of the system: an A/C compressor driven by an accessory belt near the engine, and a three-vent cooling unit inside the vehicle. Refrigerant lines connect the components. RedDOT lists remote-mounted fan and A/C controls, adjustable vents and compatibility with its AirLink attachment among the features of its UTV A/C system.

Installation detail: RedDOT describes its broader UTV air conditioner as an under-dash system, while the supplied RZR installation photos show the vent unit overhead. We have described the photographed mounting position here and will update the Pro XP and Pro S installation details when RedDOT confirms them.

Belt-Driven A/C Compressor for the Polaris RZR

Air conditioning requires substantially more than a fan blowing outside air into the cab. The RedDOT installation uses a separate compressor driven mechanically by a belt. This provides the refrigerant compression needed for the A/C system without asking the RZR’s stock electrical system to power an electric compressor.

RedDOT also offers a UTV Drive System and a separate Alternator Power Kit as part of its wider accessory-power lineup. The drive-system enclosure below shows how added equipment is packaged alongside the RZR engine.

Where Is the A/C Unit Mounted?

In the supplied RZR photos, the three-vent unit sits overhead inside the cab. Its vents can be directed toward the occupants, while the accompanying photos show A/C lines and mounting hardware used elsewhere in the installation. RedDOT says its UTV A/C products are installed through its authorized dealer network.

Before scheduling an installation, owners should ask the dealer to confirm exact vehicle fitment, where the cooling unit and controls will mount, what cab components are required, and whether existing accessories affect the installation.

How Much Cooling Does RedDOT Claim?

RedDOT says its UTV A/C system was tested in a climate wind tunnel at 104°F with full simulated solar load. The company also claims up to 30% more cooling than factory-installed systems. Those are manufacturer claims for its A/C system, not measurements from a UTV Guide test of a Pro XP or Pro S.

RedDOT has not supplied the comparison vehicles, test method or Pro XP/Pro S-specific cabin-temperature results needed to independently evaluate the 30% figure. Real-world results will also depend on the RZR’s enclosure and how the vehicle is used.

Which Polaris RZR Models Fit the RedDOT A/C Kit?

RedDOT’s new announcement identifies the RZR Pro XP and Pro S, but its publicly available compatibility information has not been fully reconciled with that announcement. We are awaiting confirmation of supported model years, two- and four-seat fitment, required cab parts and when dealers can install the new application.

Do not assume that a kit for another Polaris RZR, the RZR Pro R or a RANGER will fit a Pro XP or Pro S. Check RedDOT’s vehicle compatibility information and confirm the application with a dealer.

Offroad Arctic Is Now RedDOT Powersports

This article originally covered the 2025 launch of Offroad Arctic and its aftermarket UTV climate-control products. The company adopted the RedDOT Powersports name in August 2026. RedDOT says the rebrand did not change its products, engineering team, warranty coverage or dealer network.

In addition to the A/C system, the RedDOT Powersports lineup includes a UTV heater, Hurricane Roof Fan, Drive System and Alternator Power Kit. RedDOT also announced a permanent reduction in the price of its UTV air conditioner effective July 2, 2026, but directs customers to dealers for vehicle-specific pricing.

What to Check Before Adding A/C to a RZR

  • Exact fitment: Confirm the model year, trim and two- or four-seat configuration.
  • Cab setup: Ask what windshield, rear panel, roof or enclosure components are needed for the intended cooling performance.
  • Mounting: Verify the location of the cooling unit, controls, compressor and refrigerant lines on your vehicle.
  • Installed cost: Request a quote that includes the kit, labor and any required cab components.
  • Accessory clearance: Tell the installer about existing audio, electrical, roof and engine-area accessories.

The RedDOT application gives Pro XP and Pro S owners an aftermarket route to refrigerated A/C. Its value will be easier to judge once RedDOT confirms fitment and pricing and installations can be evaluated in real riding conditions. We will update this article as those details become available.
