Temperatures can swing from below zero in the higher elevations during winter to well over 120°F in the desert, creating some of the most demanding operating conditions imaginable for both vehicles and rescue personnel.
Those extreme conditions make reliability, cargo organization, and vehicle protection more than just conveniences—they’re mission-critical. Search and Rescue teams regularly respond to stranded motorists, injured hikers, lost off-roaders, and other emergencies in remote areas where rough terrain, abandoned mine sites, and long distances demand capable equipment. The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office operates four regional Search and Rescue units based in Kingman, Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City, and the Arizona Strip, allowing responders to cover the county’s enormous and varied landscape.
