Valcourt, Quebec, July 1, 2025 – Can-Am is teaming up with Second Century Habitat Fund (SCHF) of South Dakota to support wildlife habitat preservation through a unique fundraising initiative. At the heart of the campaign is a custom 2025 Can-Am Defender MAX Limited, purpose-built for hunters and outdoor enthusiasts, which will be awarded to one lucky donor through a public raffle.
Included Can-Am OEM vehicle accessories:
- Winch
- Light bar
- Roof racks
- Front rack
- In-cab and external gun racks
- Heavy-duty front bumper
Funds raised through the raffle will directly support SCHF’s mission to conserve and expand grassland habitat across South Dakota. SCHF primarily works with landowners to convert marginal or less desirable cropland into habitat, providing an opportunity for public hunting on private lands – a win-win for everyone, including future generations. This initiative aligns with Can-Am’s ongoing commitment to the outdoor community and to protecting the wild spaces that fuel off-road adventure.
“The Can-Am Defender is more than just a prize, it’s a symbol of our shared passion for the outdoors,” said Julie Tourville, Director, Global Marketing, Can-Am Off-Road. “We’re thrilled to team up with Second Century Habitat Fund and support their essential work. Whether you’re a hunter, landowner, or outdoor explorer, the Defender is an invaluable machine that offers endless versatility and works just as hard as it plays. We’re proud to support SCHF’s conservation mission and look forward to presenting the winner with this special Defender MAX Limited.”
The Can-Am Defender side-by-side vehicle was donated by Can-Am and will be on display across South Dakota throughout the campaign. The raffle is open to residents across the U.S., and funds raised will help ensure South Dakota’s hunting legacy lives on for future generations.
The campaign will culminate with a presence at the 2025 South Dakota Governor’s Hunt, October 24-25, in Sioux Falls, where Can-Am will join SCHF and community leaders for a final fundraising push and pheasant hunting event.
To enter the raffle, visit the SCHF website.
Each $20 donation earns one entry to win the Can-Am Defender. Additional donation tiers offer more entries per dollar. For example, a $50 donation earns 3 entries, and a $100 donation earns 10. There is no limit to the number of entries an individual can purchase. Every ticket purchased will directly support SCHF – you’re not just entering to win, you’re investing in the future of South Dakota land, wildlife, and outdoor heritage.
