Can-Am Racers Put the Maverick R on the Podium at Vegas to Reno

Valcourt, Quebec, August 22, 2025 – Last Friday, Can-Am racers took on one of the toughest off-road races in the U.S., the iconic Vegas to Reno by Best in the Desert. Battling extreme temperatures and the rugged terrain of the Nevada desert, Can-Am’s Cody Bradbury and Cody Miller made the most of the challenging conditions, finishing second and third, unofficially, in the UTV Pro class. Starting just outside of Las Vegas, the racers and their machines were faced with 500 miles of sand, rocks and dust, testing their skill, grit and determination.

After qualifying in fifth position, Bradbury continued to show his blistering pace in the main race, remaining in the lead group for the entirety of the race. For the last 100 miles, he was locked in an intense four-way battle for the lead. When the dust settled after more than eight hours of racing,

Bradbury finished just nine seconds off the race winner. “It was a pretty good day, we only had 1 flat. That was enough to slow us down. We’re here at the finish, and I’m happy to get the Can-Am Maverick R across the line. This was the first run in this car, as this is a new car for me. I made a mistake with 120 miles to go, and it cost me, but I couldn’t ask for a better debut in the new car. I’m really excited to put it on the box today.”

Miller started further back after qualifying 22nd, which meant he had more dust and traffic to navigate. Determined to fight through the pack, he pushed his Maverick R to the limit through the hot and dusty conditions and avoided costly mistakes, finishing in third place on corrected time.

“It’s been about eight and a half hours since we started this race, and we had a flawless race. It couldn’t have gone a whole lot better. We did start out 22nd, and we had a lot of time to make up and we had to choke on a lot of dust, but I was absolutely flat-footed in this Can-Am Maverick R all day and never had a single issue. It was absolutely on point and I can’t say enough about Can-Am and this Maverick R, it is a beast!”

Bradbury and Miller once again showcased the racing prowess and potential of the Maverick R platform. The Can-Am team will now head back to work in preparation for the rest of the season.
