Camp RZR returned to California’s Imperial Sand Dunes on November 1–2, 2024, bringing thousands of Polaris RZR owners and off-road enthusiasts together for the traditional opening weekend of the Glamis dune season.
Built around the theme “Dusty Days and Neon Nights,” the free two-day event combined riding in the dunes with RZR demo opportunities, vehicle service, vendors, family activities and live entertainment. The 2024 gathering also introduced daily freestyle motocross shows featuring Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg.

Glamis is part of the larger Imperial Sand Dunes Recreation Area, one of the best-known destinations in North America for high-performance side-by-sides. Camp RZR has become closely associated with Halloween weekend and the beginning of Southern California’s prime desert riding season.

What Camp RZR Offered in 2024
The 2024 event centered on the Camp RZR Village, where attendees could explore products, meet racers and gather between rides. Scheduled attractions included:
- Free RZR demo rides
- Complimentary on-site vehicle service
- Vendor displays and shopping
- Food trucks
- A children’s activity zone
- Daily freestyle motocross shows
- A Ferris wheel overlooking the event and surrounding dunes
- Appearances by Polaris-supported racers and ambassadors
The demo program gave attendees an opportunity to experience vehicles from the contemporary Polaris RZR lineup. Polaris reported that each demonstration included a safety briefing, required riding gear and a guided drive led by trained staff.
Free Camp RZR Vehicle Service
One of Camp RZR’s most useful features was the on-site service program. Polaris technicians and replacement parts were available to help owners address certain minor mechanical problems and reduce downtime during the weekend.
That service component helped distinguish Camp RZR from a conventional powersports show. The event was staged directly at a major riding destination, allowing owners to move between the Camp RZR Village and the open dunes.
Freestyle Motocross Comes to Camp RZR
New for 2024, Camp RZR hosted a freestyle motocross show led by Jeremy “Twitch” Stenberg. Performances were scheduled each day near the event village, adding a dedicated action-sports attraction to the weekend.
As daylight faded, the focus shifted toward the “Neon Nights” side of the event. Lighted vehicles gathered throughout the camping areas and around Oldsmobile Hill, continuing a longstanding Glamis tradition.
Polaris Racers at Camp RZR 2024
Camp RZR also gave fans a chance to meet prominent Polaris racers and off-road personalities. The announced guest list included Polaris Factory Racing drivers Brock Heger, Cayden MacCachren and Max Eddy Jr., along with Casey Currie, RJ Anderson and Tanner Foust.

Part of a Long-Running Glamis Tradition
Camp RZR began as a customer-appreciation gathering and developed into one of the largest manufacturer-backed celebrations in the side-by-side industry. While the activities have changed from year to year, riding, owner support and the RZR community have remained at the center of the event.
