Upfit UTV’s XCAPE turns the Polaris XPEDITION ADV NorthStar into a more extensively equipped adventure side-by-side. The enclosed, heated and air-conditioned cab provides the starting point; Upfit adds suspension, interior and cargo upgrades intended for longer trips and rougher trails. What Is the Upfit UTV XCAPE?
The XCAPE is Upfit UTV’s customized take on the XPEDITION adventure platform. The NorthStar cab already brings weather protection and factory HVAC. Upfit builds on that foundation with a wider suspension setup, tuned shocks, upgraded seating, lighting and a more useful cargo area. The exact parts can differ from one completed vehicle to another, so check the equipment list for a specific XCAPE before treating any feature as standard.
Heated Seats and a More Finished Cab
The XCAPE shown here has upgraded heated front and rear seats, a suede headliner, a flush-mounted overhead electronics console and additional interior lighting. These touches matter on an adventure vehicle: passengers spend hours in the cab, often through wide temperature swings, and accessible controls make added electronics easier to manage. The factory NorthStar heat and air conditioning remain a key part of the appeal.
Long-Travel Suspension and Shock Therapy Upgrades
This featured XCAPE uses Thumper Fab long-travel suspension with FOX shocks tuned by Shock Therapy. The build also includes Shock Therapy front and rear sway bar links and upgraded tie rods. The wider stance and suspension changes are aimed at greater control and confidence when the XPEDITION is loaded with passengers and gear; actual ride quality depends on the vehicle’s tires, load and shock setup.
Shock Therapy lists XPEDITION-specific suspension and steering upgrades, including spring kits, sway bar links and tie rods. Confirm fitment and tuning for the particular XCAPE build, especially where its long-travel components differ from a stock XPEDITION.
Slide-Out Cargo Storage
At the rear, a sliding cargo tray makes it easier to reach equipment inside the XPEDITION ADV’s enclosed cargo area. This build pairs it with a Dometic electric fridge/freezer, modular storage for tools and supplies, and custom SeaDek trim. A slide can be especially useful when the back is packed for camping or a long ride, though owners should plan electrical power and payload around their chosen fridge and other gear.
