The limited-production 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition introduces one of the most significant suspension developments yet offered on a factory sport UTV. Its new DYNAMIX DVS suspension system combines electronically controlled FOX Live Valve shocks with four active hydraulic sway bar links developed in collaboration with Suspension Direct Inc. (SDi).
Instead of forcing the suspension to operate with a conventional fixed sway bar, DYNAMIX DVS can continuously lock and unlock the links to balance body control, ride comfort and wheel articulation. Polaris says the system can make these changes up to 200 times per second.
Production is limited to just 500 units worldwide, divided between two-seat and four-seat configurations. Pricing starts at $46,999 for the two-seat RZR Pro R Ultra Edition and $50,999 for the RZR Pro R 4 Ultra Edition.

The 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition features SDi-developed electronically controlled hydraulic sway bar links.

How DYNAMIX DVS Works
The defining feature of the Ultra Edition is its DYNAMIX DVS suspension system. Polaris developed the system with SDi, the company behind the electronically controlled sway bar technology explained in our guide to Suspension Direct E-LINK.
A conventional sway bar connects the left and right sides of the suspension. That connection helps resist body roll during fast cornering, but it can also restrict independent wheel movement in rocks, deep ruts and uneven terrain. Disconnecting the sway bar improves articulation, although it reduces roll control at higher speeds.
The RZR Pro R Ultra Edition is designed to provide both behaviors without requiring the driver to stop and manually disconnect anything. Its four electronically controlled hydraulic links can lock or release according to the selected setting and information coming from the vehicle’s suspension controls.
The complete system manages 12 suspension-control channels: four compression-damping channels, four rebound-damping channels and four active sway bar links. By controlling the shocks and sway bar links together, DYNAMIX DVS can adapt more of the suspension system instead of changing damping alone.
Three Active Sway Bar Settings
Drivers can choose between three sway bar link settings:
- Semi-Active: The system automatically locks and unlocks the links up to 200 times per second as vehicle and terrain conditions change.
- Locked: The links remain locked to provide body control and a suspension response similar to a conventional RZR Pro R.
- Unlocked: The links remain released to maximize independent wheel movement and articulation during slow-speed rock crawling.
In Semi-Active mode, the vehicle can release individual links when a wheel needs to move through a rut or over an obstacle, then lock them again when additional body control is needed. That ability should be particularly useful when a route alternates between rough straightaways, corners and technical obstacles.

DYNAMIX DVS can lock and unlock the Ultra Edition’s four hydraulic sway bar links as terrain conditions change.
Race-Developed Suspension Technology
The active sway bar system did not begin as a styling-driven limited-edition feature. Polaris and SDi developed and tested the technology through the RZR Factory Racing program in open-desert competition.
RZR Factory Racing used the system during a dominant 2025 season that included the SCORE series championship and a second consecutive Baja 1000 victory. The racing program gave Polaris an opportunity to evaluate the links through long, high-speed events where suspension heat, repeated impacts, changing terrain and vehicle control can determine whether a machine reaches the finish.
The production Ultra Edition is not the same vehicle as the purpose-built race machine. Our RZR Pro R versus RZR Pro R Factory comparison explains how the showroom platform relates to Polaris’s competition vehicle. However, DYNAMIX DVS is a meaningful example of technology moving from the race program into a production RZR.
Built on the 225-Horsepower RZR Pro R
Beneath the new suspension technology, the Ultra Edition retains the basic architecture that has made the Polaris RZR Pro R the flagship of the RZR lineup.
Its naturally aspirated ProStar Fury 2.0-liter inline four-cylinder engine produces 225 horsepower. The 74-inch stance, 104.5-inch wheelbase and reinforced Pro R chassis are intended primarily for dunes, desert riding and other wide-open terrain.
The front suspension provides 27 inches of usable travel, while the MaxLink rear suspension delivers up to 29 inches. FOX 3.0 Live Valve X2 internal-bypass shocks provide electronically controlled compression and rebound damping.
The Ultra Edition therefore does more than disconnect a conventional rear sway bar for rock crawling. Its four active links work with the semi-active shocks to manage the entire vehicle across high-speed impacts, corners, uneven whoops and technical terrain.

32-Inch BFGoodrich KM3 Tires
Polaris equips the Ultra Edition with 32-inch BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM3 tires. The KM3 is a more aggressive all-terrain choice than a dune-specific tire, giving the limited edition a versatile package for desert rocks, hardpack, loose terrain and mixed trail conditions.
MPI Racing Steering Wheel and Exclusive Interior
An MPI Racing steering wheel replaces the conventional production steering wheel. Inspired by equipment used in desert racing, it has an ergonomic shape intended to give the driver a more direct and precise connection to the vehicle.
The cabin also receives exclusive GatorStep accents and limited-edition details that coordinate with the Velocity Blue exterior. These upgrades help distinguish the Ultra Edition from the standard Pro R Ultimate without overwhelming the functional changes made to its suspension.

An MPI Racing steering wheel and GatorStep accents give the Ultra Edition a race-influenced interior.
10.4-Inch RIDE COMMAND Display
The 2026 RZR Pro R Ultra Edition includes Polaris’s 10.4-inch vertical touchscreen powered by RIDE COMMAND. The display provides 52 square inches of usable screen area for mapping, vehicle information, camera views and compatible connected features.
Additional premium equipment includes:
- Rockford Fosgate Stage 4 audio system
- 1,500-watt digital amplifier
- Heated and ventilated seats
- Full doors
- LED lighting
- RIDE COMMAND navigation and vehicle information

Pricing and Availability
The two-seat 2026 Polaris RZR Pro R Ultra Edition starts at $46,999. The four-seat RZR Pro R 4 Ultra Edition starts at $50,999. Those prices exclude destination charges, dealer setup, taxes and registration.
Polaris limited global production to 500 vehicles across both configurations, with dealer shipments scheduled to begin in February 2026. That small production run makes the Ultra Edition considerably more exclusive than a normal RZR Pro R trim.
Is the RZR Pro R Ultra Edition Worth It?
The Ultra Edition carries only a $3,000 premium over the $43,999 starting price of the regular 2026 RZR Pro R. For that difference, buyers receive DYNAMIX DVS with four factory-integrated active sway bar links, BFGoodrich KM3 tires, an MPI steering wheel and exclusive cosmetic details.
The strongest reason to choose the Ultra Edition is not its limited-production status or Velocity Blue paint. It is the active sway bar system. Riders who regularly transition between high-speed desert terrain, uneven whoops and technical rock sections stand to benefit most from a suspension that can change its roll resistance without requiring the driver to stop.
For buyers who primarily ride predictable terrain or plan to extensively modify the suspension, the additional technology may be less important. For someone who wants the most advanced factory RZR Pro R offered for 2026, however, the Ultra Edition delivers a meaningful mechanical upgrade rather than merely an appearance package.
