ENGINE
As a model in the Teryx KRX 1000 side x side series, the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition inherits a high level of off-road capability. Its powerful, high-torque engine is complemented by CVT transmission with centrifugal clutch for smooth acceleration and complete control at a very low speed. Its stance— even wider than that of the Teryx KRX 1000—offers a sturdy base, while its long wheel travel and large 32” tires were designed to soak up obstacles and offer superior off-road performance.
At the core of the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition is a powerful 999cc liquid-cooled, 4-stroke parallel twin engine. Compact and responsive, it delivers both strong horsepower and torque with a balance that makes it just as capable revving at high rpm as it is crawling at low speeds. On rock sections and technical terrain, abundant torque from very low rpm and smooth, linear power delivery provide precise control and put power efficiently to the ground.
Supporting that engine performance is a CVT paired with a centrifugal clutch. This combination eliminates the abrupt shock of belt engagement, allowing delicate throttle inputs that are essential for rock crawling. The centrifugal clutch also enhances acceleration control at very low speeds, while stable engine braking gives drivers confidence on steep and technical descents.
CHASSIS
Complementing the already wide stance of the Teryx KRX 1000 and new to the 2026 model, the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition’s broadened track width delivers even greater stability—an advantage when tackling rock crawls and technical terrain. While the wheel rims retain the same 8” width as other Teryx KRX 1000 models, the wheel design on the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition offsets that width by 0.5” outward on each side, widening the overall stance by nearly a full inch. As a result, tread width
measures 60.0” in the front and 60.2” in the rear, compared to 59.3” and 59.4” on the standard models.
Visually, the wider stance gives the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition an even more stable, planted appearance, particularly when viewed head-on or from behind. From the driver’s seat, the increased width also improves visibility of the front wheels, helping drivers place them with precision when navigating rock obstacles.
SUSPENSION
Like several other models in the Teryx KRX 1000 lineup, the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition is equipped with premium FOX 2.5 LSC Piggyback shocks. Optimized tire pressures for the larger 32” wheels work hand-in-hand with the suspension to deliver outstanding off-road performance, whether crawling over rocks or covering ground between technical sections. In addition, updated suspension couplers improve impact sound quality, creating a smoother, more refined feel as the shocks compress
and extend under the demands of larger tires.
New to the 2026 model, the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition comes equipped with 32” Maxxis® Roxxzilla tires, purpose-built for extreme rock crawling and off-road racing. Their aggressive tread pattern is designed to maximize grip when climbing over rocks and navigating desert terrain, while the competition “sticky” compound further enhances traction performance. Compared to smaller-diameter tires, the 32” design helps navigate obstacles more easily. To accommodate the larger tires, wheel bearings have been upsized from 74mm to 84mm for added rigidity, with hubs updated accordingly.
Steering durability is also optimized with larger knuckle ball joints, increasing from 28mm to 30mm, ensuring precise control and rugged dependability.
COMFORT & CONVENIENCE
The Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition comes standard with a WARN® VRX 45-S Powersport Winch, featuring 50 feet of 1/4-inch synthetic rope and a 4,500-lb.capacity, perfectly complementing the high- grade build of this model., Premium components include a load-holding roller-disc brake, cast aluminum fairlead, and a three-stage planetary gear train. Built with all-metal construction, corrosion-resistant stainless-steel fasteners, and complete waterproof sealing for both the motor and drivetrain, the WARN unit is designed for durability . A model-specific installation kit provides a clean, integrated fit, with an illuminated dash-mounted rocker switch and a corded remote for added convenience. Tow hooks mounted at the front and rear of the vehicle provide additional recovery points.
Selectable 4WD with a front differential lock and switchable power modes allow drivers to quickly adapt to conditions, while a roomy cabin, high-backed bucket seats, and adjustable ergonomics ensure comfort over long rides. PROTECTION
The Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition also carries the same toughness, durability, and reliability that define every Teryx KRX 1000 model.Heavy-duty skid plates made from 3/8-inch thick High Molecular Weight (HMW) polyethylene provide rugged protection for the underbody, shielding the chassis and drivetrain from impacts. Up front, low-profile HMW polyethylene A-arm guards—1/4-inch thick and molded with a Teryx KRX logo—deliver durable, lightweight protection while blending seamlessly with the vehicle’s styling. Matching 1/4-inch thick trailing arm guards help protect the rear suspension arms with the same combination of strength and low weight. In addition to protecting critical components, both the A-arm and trailing arm guards help reduce the chance of snagging on obstacles, improving the off-road capability of the Teryx KRX 1000 Rock Edition. Finished in Brownish Orange, these guards tie in with the Rock Edition’s signature highlights for a cohesive, purpose-built look.
