Engineered to absorb obstacles, the standard Teryx KRX 1000 and Teryx KRX4 1000 models have been updated for 2026 with SHOWA piggyback shock absorbers that provide unprecedented cabin comfort ensuring a smooth and enjoyable ride for drivers and passengers across a variety of terrains.
These class-leading machines are built around a highly dependable 999cc parallel-twin engine that is paired with a CVT transmission and built on a highly rigid frame with an integrated Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS). The two-seater Teryx KRX 1000 is available in five different trim packages, while the four-seater Teryx KRX4 1000 can be found in five different trim packages, ensuring that there is something suitable for everyone out on the trails.
KAWASAKI TERYX KRX® 1000 Blackout Edition
The two-seater Teryx KRX 1000 Blackout Edition isn’t just about style; it’s packed with an array of features designed to enhance both performance and convenience on every desert adventure.
Equipped with a high-grade Hifonics audio system, drivers can now add a soundtrack to their off-road excursions, amplifying the thrill of the ride. Complete with two 6.5” door speakers and a 12” subwoofer behind the seats, it offers excellent sound that can be heard and felt. The compact studio unit has a Bluetooth®/AM/FM/ 600-watt 5-channel stereo built into the center console, giving the dash a well- integrated appearance.
Furthermore, this model comes standard with a KQR™ premium roof, shielding passengers from the elements and ensuring comfort throughout the journey. Steel bumpers, both at the front and rear, not only contribute to the vehicle’s rugged appearance but also offer additional protection for the vehicle, providing peace of mind on challenging trails. The bumpers are textured in black powder coating.
One standout feature of the Teryx KRX 1000 Blackout Edition is the advanced lighting system, which boasts a 38” K-Glow LED light bar mounted on the front roof with four flood light reflectors and 24 spot beam reflectors for a total of 28 LED lights. Two light settings allow users the option of a green glow for added style or a full light bar function. An 8” K-Glow LED light bar mounted to the front bumper provides additional front lighting. The 8” light bar features four flood light reflectors and two spot beam reflectors for a total of six LED lights. It also offers the same two light settings as found on the 38” light bar. On the rear, two 8” K-Glow LED light bars are mounted to the roof and f add more illumination.
Additionally, the inclusion of premium components, such as the handy WARN® VRX 45 Powersport winch, further elevates the model’s functionality. The winch consists of 50’ of durable, aircraft-grade ¼” steel rope and has a 4,500 lb. capacity. The Teryx KRX® 1000 eS is built from the ground up to be the ultimate sport side x side. Featuring similar DNA to the Teryx KRX1000, the eS model comes equipped with Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS) featuring FOX® 2.5 Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks. The KECS suspension technology communicates with the Bosch electronic control system and utilizes Kawasaki’s proprietary suspension settings to deliver greater comfort and enhanced stability across a wider range of riding situations. FOX’s Internal Bypass damping architecture features position-sensitive damping that changes depending on the operating zone of the suspension stroke to deliver a push and predictable ride. In addition to the electronic suspension, the Teryx KRX 1000 eS features upgraded components like a seven-inch high-grade TFT color instrumentation that offers three different selectable brightness levels, KQR™ sport roof to shelter passengers from harsh weather and sun, an aggressive front bumper that is powder coated to match other styling components, and specially designed color and graphics.
The four-seater Teryx KRX4 1000 Blackout Edition comes with all of the same great features and styling cues as its two-seater counterpart. Its robust 999cc parallel-twin engine, paired with a CVT transmission and centrifugal clutch, delivers unmatched power and torque, making light work of whooped-out trails and technical rock crawling sections. With on-the-fly electronically selectable 4WD and front differential lock, as well as two power modes (Full and Low), drivers can tailor the power delivery to suit their preference and prevailing conditions.
Designed for uncompromising performance, the Teryx KRX4 1000 features a high-rigidity frame with an integrated Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS), positioning the wheels for maximum stability, superb cornering, and straight-line confidence. Showa piggyback shock absorbers, along with long suspension arms, offer the longest suspension travel in its class, ensuring premium cabin comfort even over the roughest terrain.

The Teryx KRX4 1000 lineup cabin provides generous space, featuring four high- backed bucket seats equipped with three-point seatbelts for optimal support. It features an on-the-fly electronically selectable 4WD and front differential lock as well as two power modes (Full and Low) that allow the driver to set power delivery to suit preference and conditions. A high-rigidity frame with integrated Roll Over Protection Structure (ROPS) positions the wheels as far apart as possible to provide the stability needed while out on the trails. Kawasaki Electronic Control Suspension (KECS) paired with FOX® 2.5 Live Valve Internal Bypass shocks deliver a comfortable and capable ride in a wide range of riding conditions. Thanks to the large design of the cabin, the rear allows for a full-sized adult to sit comfortably in the rear seats.
