The 2025 Kawasaki MULE PRO-DX EPS is a full-size, three-passenger utility UTV designed primarily for farms, ranches, construction sites and commercial fleets. Its 993cc three-cylinder diesel engine emphasizes low-speed pulling power, durability and compatibility with equipment that already runs on diesel fuel.

Unlike the convertible MULE PRO-DXT, the PRO-DX uses a single-row bench seat and a fixed, full-length cargo bed. That configuration gives it substantially more cargo space while retaining a 2,000-pound towing capacity and room for three occupants.

993cc Three-Cylinder Diesel Engine

The MULE PRO-DX is powered by a 993cc liquid-cooled, three-cylinder diesel engine. Kawasaki rates it at 24 horsepower and 38.3 pound-feet of torque, with maximum torque arriving at 2,400 rpm.

Those figures make the purpose of the PRO-DX clear. It is not intended to match the acceleration or trail performance of Kawasaki’s gasoline-powered MULE PRO models. Instead, the diesel engine is tuned for predictable low-speed power when hauling cargo, towing equipment or working across uneven terrain.

A Bosch in-line injection pump supplies fuel, while the 55-amp alternator provides electrical capacity for work accessories such as lighting, a winch, heater, beacon or sprayer equipment.

CVT, Selectable 4WD and Locking Differential

The diesel engine is paired with a continuously variable transmission offering High, Low, Neutral and Reverse ranges. Engine braking helps manage vehicle speed when descending hills, particularly when the cargo bed is loaded or a trailer is attached.

The driver can select two-wheel drive or four-wheel drive using dash-mounted controls. A dual-mode rear differential can be locked for maximum traction or unlocked to reduce tire scrubbing and surface damage when operating on turf.

999-Pound Cargo-Bed Capacity

One of the PRO-DX’s biggest advantages over the PRO-DXT is its fixed, full-length cargo bed. Measuring 54.1 inches long, 53.7 inches wide and 11 inches deep, the steel-floor bed provides approximately 20 square feet of cargo area and can accommodate a standard 48-by-40-inch pallet.

The bed is rated to carry up to 999 pounds. A gas-assisted tilt mechanism makes unloading material easier and provides access to the engine compartment beneath the bed.

Integrated steel cargo rails provide multiple tie-down locations, while divider slots allow owners to organize tools, feed, firewood and other supplies. The tailgate incorporates molded cupholders that can be used when the tailgate is lowered.

2,000-Pound Towing Capacity

A two-inch rear receiver allows the 2025 MULE PRO-DX EPS to tow up to 2,000 pounds when properly equipped. Its total payload rating is 1,574 pounds, so passengers, cargo, accessories and trailer tongue weight must all be considered when loading the vehicle.

Three-Passenger Cab and Electric Power Steering

A wide bench seat provides room for the driver and two passengers. Automotive-style doors, three-point seat belts and dedicated passenger handholds are standard. The tilt-adjustable steering column helps accommodate drivers of different sizes and can be moved upward to improve cab access.

Speed-sensitive Electric Power Steering reduces steering effort while maneuvering around buildings, trailers and equipment. It also helps limit steering-wheel kickback when the front tires encounter rocks, roots or deep ruts.

The multifunction display includes a digital speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, hour meter, clock, dual trip meters and indicators for the drivetrain, engine, CVT, EPS, parking brake and seat belts.

Independent Suspension and Four-Wheel Disc Brakes

Double-wishbone independent suspension is used at all four corners. Front wheel travel measures 8.7 inches, while the rear provides 8.5 inches on the left and 8.7 inches on the right. Ground clearance is 10.4 inches.

The MULE PRO-DX is 64 inches wide and rides on a relatively compact 92.3-inch wheelbase. That combination gives the vehicle a stable footprint while keeping it maneuverable enough for barns, job sites and other confined work areas.

Hydraulic disc brakes are fitted at all four wheels, with dual-piston front calipers and single-piston rear calipers. A separate mechanical disc serves as the parking brake.

The 2025 MULE PRO-DX EPS was offered in Bright White with a base MSRP of $17,999. MSRP did not include destination charges, dealer preparation, taxes or registration fees.
