The prep for my journey to the Hammers for 2019 began as soon as my race was over in 2018. We timed out just shy of 110 miles last year after being lost for 2 hours due to GPS failures, and fighting part failures along the entire race day. At the end of that race day in 2018, most would have walked away extremely upset after all the problems, but for me it was the best thing that could happened.
