The Sand Outlaws UTV Short Course at the 2017 UTV Takeover saw almost 30 competitors.  Two drivers set off simultaneously on the same track while driving on two separate but equal lanes. The course took the space of about two football fields and contained elevation changes, sharp corners, jumps and crossovers. After a test lap the racers were ready for action. The race was setup as a single elimination event where the loser becomes a spectator.
