UTVGuide.net's top UTV from the ORBA Supershow
February 11, 2008
Jon Crowley, www.utvguide.net

The ORBA Supershow was held February 9 – 10, 2008 at the Del Mar Fairground near San Diego, CA. After their successful show last year, ORBA switched venues to Del Mar and from what I saw, it was a great move. Although not as big as the Sand Sports Super Show, the ORBA Supershow is filling a nice void for off-road enthusiasts and businesses. Last year there were quite a few businesses showing off their UTV products, and I was happy to see that grow for this year’s show.
My favorite UTV from the show was a 2008 Kawasaki Teryx built by Custom Creations. The Teryx has only been available for a few weeks, but this one was already decked out with Custom Creations long travel arms and roll cage, Sway-A-Way air shocks, Summers Brothers axles, PRP seats and Baja Designs LED lights.
A big name in the off-road industry has now entered the UTV market. Rancho Suspension is huge when it comes to suspension for full size vehicles, and they are now making long travel kits, shocks and other bolt-on products for UTVs.
There were also some new products that caught my eye at the show:
• aFe was showing off their Kawasaki Teryx and Rhino 700 EFI airboxes.
• Gibson Performance had a new exhaust for the Polaris RZR as well as their Rhino setup.
• UMP & Mafia Industries have a nice replacement intake for the Polaris RZR.
• The Fabtech booth had a nice RZR with their new long travel kit and front & rear bumpers.
• Staun Products had an internal beadlock that l looked promising, especially for desert and short course racing.
Congratulations to ORBA on a great show. I am looking forward to a repeat performance in 2009!

If you own an off-road related business and are not a member of the Off-Road Business Association, please check them out. ORBA is a non-profit association of off-road related business owners who have united to preserve the sport of off-road recreation. If you are an off-road enthusiast, please support the members of ORBA by spending your money with ORBA members. The off-road playgrounds you enjoy depend on it.
