When it comes to lighting, it’s hard to beat the brand recognition KC HiLiTES has achieved with decades of round, KC-branded light covers. Not content on just selling round halogen driving lights, KC has been diving deeply into the offroad LED scene the past few years, releasing some very trick lighting elements.

KC HiLites

We met up with KC at the Industry Ride under the cover of night, which may or may not have been planned. As the massive KC semi pulled into Glamis, we grabbed our camera equipment to prepare for some night shots. The vehicle KC brought to show was a Kibbetech-built Polaris RZR XP1000. Kibbetech is well-known in the offroad truck racing scene for their incredible craftsmanship and gorgeous fabrication, all of which was present on the KC car.

KC Cyclone LED Accent Lights

The Kibbetech-built car featured a host of KC lighting, focused in two categories- their Cyclone accent LED light and their new FLEX Array adaptable LED light bars. The Cyclone is a small, round LED circuit board that puts out an incredible amount of light, and it’s available in five different colors, as well as a diffused white option. The lights can be attached via double-sided tape or a standard Dzus fastener though the center, and it runs on 6-16 volts. The small 5 watt board puts out an incredible 1100 lumens, more than enough to light up your cab, wheel wells, under car, or wherever else you plan to put them. They retail for $30.91 each, and are available in a kit with wiring and a switch included.

KC’s FLEX Array LED lights are a very different approach to building a light bar. Rather than building a sealed LED array with a reflector around it, KC has designed small, independent light pods that can be bolted together and linked with small jumper wires, allowing you to essentially build a light bar of any length or height. Each 10 watt Cree LED has its own finned aluminum housing for heat dissipation and emits around 1000 lumens in a spot pattern. KC currently sells the FLEX in 2 different arrangements, either a FLEX dual that consists of 2-LED’s or a FLEX array bar that measures 10 inches in length and consists of 5, 10W LEDs. Buyers can get them in a 10″, 20” and 30” light bar pre-assembled, or they can build their own light bars by buying combinations of the 2 styles of FLEX lights offered. KC stands behind the FLEX with a 23 year warranty, so you know they’re built to last.

KC also has other LED, HID, and Halogen lighting systems available on www.KCHiLiTES.com, so any UTV enthusiast is sure to find something that fits their build and budget. With 45 years in the lighting industry, KC sure knows how to build ‘em, so go online and check them out!
